Description: Dublin Square Irish Pub & Grill doesn't just look like a piece of Ireland-it actually is a piece of Ireland. Before getting shipped across the Atlantic Ocean to its home in the Gaslamp Quarter, the pub was manufactured on the island by O'Sullivan Interiors. What's more, it's based on an authentic pub whose roots stretch back to the early 1700s. Guests can experience this homage by sidling up to the Irish oak bar, or toasting themselves next to the cast-iron fireplace in the Victorian Lounge. Of course, the food and drink are likewise Irish-inspired: beer-battered fish and chips, Guinness-braised beef, and an Irish lamb stew loaded with potatoes, onions, carrots, and fresh Colorado lamb. On certain nights, the pub buzzes with trivia competitions, karaoke performances, and sets from live bands. Join us for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Desserts!

“Authentic and Awesome!”
Reviewed 7 February 2014

Lets just say I ate here 3 days in a row! Great pub-like atmosphere. Best Irish Coffee, Scotch Eggs, and Bread Pudding in San Diego. The wait staff were either from Ireland with accents or of Irish descent. Great music, lots of TVs but neither were overpowering or took away from the atmosphere. Can't say enough about this place!

“Rain in San Diego? Irish stew!”
Reviewed 6 February 2014 via mobile

Happy hour until 7 with great Irish beers. Service is a bit slow but the Irish lamb stew is fabulous. Big chunks of tender lamb, carrots and potatoes just right. Served with a side if brown Irish soda bread...perfect to warm my tummy as the rain poured down.

“Great Pub decor”
Reviewed 29 January 2014

Loved the decor (woodwork) and ambiance inside this pub. The staff was very friendly and the service was good. They have several TVs so you wouldn't miss a game or event.

“Proper British Pub Style”
Reviewed 23 January 2014

We have visited San Diego 6 times since Jan.09 - found this place on our 2nd visit and we always go back a few times during each vacation. The decor is warm & cozy and we think this is the closest place we have found to compare to British pubs. Most years we visit in December and their Xmas tree & decorations are lovely, it just adds a little extra to the ambience.

We enjoy the food (fish & chips are good), the drinks (beer, wine & margaritas) and the staff are very pleasant. The whole experience is an enjoyable one.

If we are lucky enough to find ourselves back in San Deigo we will certainly be paying a visit to the Dublin Square Pub once again or twice or thrice.
