Casa Guadalajara is a great restaurant located in old town San Diego. Reservations are strongly recommended if you wish to avoid disappointment. Seating is both inside as well as outside in the courtyard or garden area. We went for dinner on a Saturday night to celebrate my good friend’s son’s graduation party. We ordered a couple of pitchers of their Avion Margaritas which were simply delicious. They also stock a variety of wines and Mexican beers. Please be forewarned about their serving size which are simply huge. Few folks in our group made the wise choice of sharing but many who did not wasted almost half of their food. The food was authentic and very good. Service was a bit slow. It would have been nice if they could have assigned two servers for our party of 20 people. They had a Mariachi band which moved around the restaurant playing music at each table.
This restaurant is reasonably priced though a bit towards the pricier side. Expect to spend $30 to $50 per person for dinner. Self parking is offered behind the restaurant.
