We spent 2 nights in this awesome little boutique hotel !! The staff was wonderful and very helpful!! The rooms are cozy and very comfortable. I had some concern about the noise from the freeway and planes landing, but all was pretty quiet!! Would surely book this hotel again when in San Diego!!!

Room Tip: 2nd floor is better but rooms C or D on first floor are great!!

Just returned from a 6 night stay in San Diego, 2 at the Hotel Vyvant, the other 4 at a convention hotel. The Vyvant is such a charming and comfortable place to call home while in San Diego! Our room was a nice size, with a wonderfully comfortable bed and all the amenities we needed. Staff were very helpful, he breakfast (yay Safari Granola!) was simple but well-executed, and the Friday and Saturday night happy hours was a nice way to have a local glass of wine or beer and meet others. Although it is right next to the busy 5, we did not notice any noise to disturb our sleep. The hotel provides ear plugs for that, if you do find it noisy. There isn't much parking, but for in-town sightseeing, it is close to the bus and Trolley and of course the amazing restaurants of Little Italy. Highly recommend using this hotel as a base for visitors to S.D.

Room Tip: Room D has a soaking tub!

Coming off a cruise ship, we wanted a hotel for 2 nights, close to Little Italy as one of our travelling companions was wanting to be close to authentic Italian restaurants. The Hotel Vyvant was a great choice. The staff, especially Bekah, could not do enough to help us find our way to the various places in San Diego we wanted to visit, aside from the usual tourist spots. Her advice how to buy tickets and use the trolley system was invaluable, especially to 3 Australians who were not at all familiar with the local area. As other travellers have mentioned, the breakfast was an added bonus and the rooms comfortable. We would definitely recommend Hotel Vyvant to any of our friends if they were visiting San Diego.

Some friends from work and I decided to come to SanDiego a few days before our sales meeting for some R&R. I booked the Hotel Vyvant based on reviews and was anxious that all four in our party would be pleased. Turns out my worries were useless! We all loved the charm of the place and the friendly staff took good care of us. As everyone has said, the amenities like breakfast, happy hour and earplugs all add up to a fabulous experience. The beds were very cozy! Two of my party said it reminded them of traveling n Europe. Very convenient to the harbor area, little Italy, and Balboa Park. I would definitely come back here!

Room Tip: We had room U for 3 people and T for the person wanting a private room. T was quieter than U since i...

I wanted to give 5 stars but the lack of parking, and the ability to find parking on a busy street knocked it down to 4. Otherwise it's a great hotel, offering more than many hotels and reasonably priced for the area.

We stayed in Room C. At first I was apprehensive because I saw earplugs and thought it would be noisy since it's near the lobby, and the airplanes flew above. It was actually pretty quiet. Even the outside noise wasn't bad, if you close the window.

The room had plenty of drawer and storage space, and the bathroom was quite large. There was also a keurig coffee maker and 2 bottles of water for us to use.

My disappointment in room C was the tv was tiny! My computer monitor at home is bigger. Also cosmetic things like unfinished paint, chipped paint, chipped tiles were annoying. Lastly the bed squeaks! Like boom chicka wow wow squeaky!

Otherwise the hotel offered a lot. Great happy hour from 5-7, serving local food like complimentary beer, wine, cheese, hummus, crackers, teas... Excellent! Breakfast was continental but ample! Danish, granola, muffin, juice, coffee served 7-10. Don't wait until the end to get food, as they ran out of coffee.

There's plenty of places to sit and relax outside in the back patio. Little Italy's restaurant row is 2 blocks away, and Bencotta restaurant was amazing!!

Thumbs up, highly recommended.

Room Tip: If you can't find parking, ask the staff for suggestion. I heard there's a pay lot you can...

We just returned from a very comfortable stay at the Vyvant. The location is very convenient to Little Italy and a walk on the Harbor. Also a short ride from the airport and parking available on site. The room was lovely and smartly decorated. The staff was so friendly and breakfasts yummy .We would definitely return!
