We stayed here for one night, but plan on coming back again! We were notified about 30 minutes prior to our arrival that the a/c in our room was broken. They offered to discount our room and wanted to throw in a bottle of champagne! We don't drink, but they went above and beyond to make our stay welcome. Luckily San Diego night aren't hot, so the temperature with the windows open wasn't a problem.

Bed was comfortable. We brought sleeping bags for our kids to sleep on the floor and they were fine. We did have a shared bathroom -- which was a little strange -- but it wasn't too bad. There are mirrors in the room to use to get ready, so it wasn't a problem.

The feel of this hotel is unique, quaint and very comfortable. The design of the hotel (which was built in 1910) is a nice change from the usual hotel. Huge mirrors, large sitting chairs, gourmet breakfast options and an out of this world staff -- really seem to make a difference in staying here. My husband and I will definitely come back to explore San Diego -- we will opt for a room that has a private bath tho. I highly recommend this hotel. It's a different experience and feels more like a Bed & Breakfast.

Room Tip: Definitely splurge for a room with a private bathroom, but if you are on a budget -- a shared bathro...

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at Hotel Vyvant to celebrate our anniversary. I can't say enough about the outstanding service at this hotel! All of the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, special, and at home, from the bottle of prosecco in our room on arrival to friendly conversations during breakfast and happy hour. There are many small touches here, from excellent locally roasted coffee at breakfast to the craft beer and Temecula wines poured during happy hour, that set Vyvant apart from a standard big chain hotel. Staff knows Little Italy well and has great and reliable recommendations for the area. Plus, Little Italy is an awesome place to hang out and Hotel Vyvant is within a quick walk of all of the neighborhood's best bars and restaurants as well as being centrally located to many other downtown San Diego attractions. We will be back!

My sister and I had been driving a while and stuck in traffic and just couldn't wait to get this hotel. Ashley at the front desk was so helpful she told us where to park and even said she would stand in a spot to make sure we got it! So we were thinking customer service was awesome but it gets better! When you go in it's so cozy and the decor is amazing! The patio is gorgeous and it's so relaxing! Our room was perfect and the bed was so comfortable. It's not far from little Italy and things to do downtown so we walked to that which is nice that it's walking distance. When we got back from dinner it was street sweeping night on our side of the road so we had to move the car so very helpful amazing Ashley stood in a spot for us and then helped parallel park my car! The breakfast is so delicious and it's some of the best coffee I've ever had, eating it on the patio made it so much better! Ashley is amazing and this hotel is perfect, I wish I could live there! I definitely reccomend staying here!

Overall a very nice hotel and very friendly staff! Hated the parking situation, took us an hour to find one. That's the only reason im giving it a 4 out of 5.the shared bathroom was very clean and had everything available. And the complimentary breakfast in the morning was a nice to have.

Really great place. Lots of attention to detail with decorating. The beds were super comfortable. Made it hard to get up in the am. Will definitely go here again when visiting San Diego. Within walking distance of almost everything interesting near San Diego bay, Little Italy etc.

The rooms are spacious and comfy. The staff super delightful. Plenty of towels and so many pillows, my husband who sleeps with many just was in heaven. We had a room without a restroom and shared it with others. Never a problem as there is 2 on every floor. The free Wif was excellent. The first evening we hung out reading in the patio and the person at the desk asked us to just turn off the overhead lights when we were done...so we hung super late into the night enjoying and talking to a couple of other people as they polished off a pizza (you are very close to many restaurants and even a 7-11 just down the street if you need stuff). The bus stops 2 blocks from the location if you don't drive...but we walked from the train station and had a fun time doing it. The neighborhood felt quite safe (though if you aren't one to walk much...take the bus or drive or get a Taxi) We came by train and wanted to store our bag after checkout to explore the city - Got back a couple hours before the train to grab our bag and they were offering their restroom and patio area to hang out in till we were ready. Patio during the day is a little more noisy than the fountains they have installed, so you do hear the cars. But that is if your hanging out during the late morning / afternoon period. Early morning and evening, it was just fine.
Definitely will stay there again.

Room Tip: In Room Bathroom also includes a small kitchen like area and Kurek Coffee Pot (but you can save a ch...
