The staff was incredible. We had a situation that was a non-traditional check-in and they made us feel welcome, brushing aside our apologizes for any inconvenience, they were more than happy to accommodate us. After our flight got cancelled, they welcomed us back with open arms and gave us our old room. They had already cleaned it! I have never had such a great experience with a hotel. And after all the stress we really needed a comforting home away from home.We were coming from a conference which we stayed at the hotel hosting it. I will not name names but it was easy 300+ a night (we had an upgraded marina view King room) and I thought this Best Western Plus had nicer rooms.As for the room: The decor was very charming, with little personal touches that made it feel more like a home rather than a generic hotel room. Very clean, and every room seemed to have its own little balcony. We were on the first floor so we had a door that led to a sitting area which had bushes for privacy. Spacious king room with a microwave and fridge. Water on both sides of the hotel for great views. We will defiantly be staying here again if we are in the San Diego area. More
