“Expensive, but equally fantastic”

I travel quite a bit for both work and vacation, and I'd say this is the second nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. It's very expensive at $300 a night, but luckily for our conference the rooms were discounted by about 30%. The rooms are very nice with a 42" flat panel, up-to-date decor, comfortable beds and everything looks fairly new. It's a great layout, bachelor-pad style room. I'd definitely stay here again if I could find a deal.

The restaurants inside the hotel are very overpriced with below average food. The restaurants aren't much better in the seaport village, head down to the gaslamp district instead. As far as the hotel part goes though, it's fantastic with a great location and gorgeous views of both the bay and downtown area.

My girlfriend and I found a good deal to stay here for a night Memorial Day weekend. Walking in, immediately you are blown away by how nice this hotel is. Clean, beautiful, and HUGE. The people we dealt with at the front desk were extremely pleasant and helpful at both check in and check out. The room wasn't mind blowing, but was very nice and clean with a great view of the water. I also have to mention how comfortable we found the bed. The location was perfect. You can walk down by the water or walk to the Gaslamp district where there were tons of great restaurants and bars. We drove to San Diego, but never used our car once during our stay as there is so much in walking distance from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

We were in the area for a wedding this past weekend and decided to try a hotel downtown for the last night of our trip. So happy with our decision to stay at the Hyatt! Lisa (from Florida) at the front desk was phenomenal! We walked in with no reservation and she was very sweet and helpful and able to get us a great room with an amazing view of the bay. Overall a beautiful hotel with a nice pool area, good food in the restaurants and plenty of activities nearby. We had several rooms booked at a hotel down the street for my birthday in a few weeks but after our wonderful experience at the Hyatt and the fantastic service we received, we decided to cancel them and will be returning here instead. I definitely recommend this hotel. You won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: Try to get a high floor facing the water

The Manchester was great. Stayed on the bay side tower(24th Flr) and the view was great. We enjoyed the pool and the staff was very friendly - also they sell Smore kits to go with a fun fire at night in the pool area. Also, got to check out the 44th floor for a cocktail!
All in all the hotel was a great stay!

Room Tip: Ask for the bay side!

Booked a room here through Hotels.com. They had an awesome promotional deal for a normally expensive room. I was immediately impressed upon walking in. Beautiful luxury hotel with an excellent top floor bar & lounge on the 40th, Highly recommended and the location is great on the bay and walking distance to the Gaslamp district and seaport village.

Room Tip: book thru Hotels .com when running their specials

This hotel was the most beautiful hotel at the right price. Didn't have to use the car much as everything is within walking distance. Seaport Village is at the foot of this hotel. Restaurants and Bar n Grills are pricey though. Parking is not free and is also pricey at $26.00 a night. Regardless, the hotel is the one to stay at for breathless views and poolside fun. I highly recommend it with no second thoughts. Oh, plus the customer service is EXCELLENT.

I've stayed here a few times & this is a great place to stay when in San Diego.
The hotel itself is beautiful.
Nice views of the bay, the village & San Diego.
The location is great & is walking distance to gas lamp, the bay, park, etc..
The rooms are pretty big, clean, comfortable beds, big flat screen, all around top notch.
The service is great (we actually checked in really early 9:30am) and had no problem getting a room & the front desk agent was polite & efficient.

Not a big down side, but the parking is $26 a night & water in the room is $5.
