I've been to San Diego many times for business, and staying at the Grand Hyatt is the best hotel experience i've had. Great facility, location. I loved being close to the Gaslight district as well as the water. Wished i had more time to enjoy the area (I was there for business). Can't wait to come back

Great place for my conference. Staff was very helpful with my over-sized luggage with storing and getting it to the cab. Rooms was perfect, clean and comfortable to sleep. The location was incredible. I could walk to just about everything and there was so much fun and good dining options just around my block. Gas lap was a short walk too. Enjoyed the Padres game to make it an even mo better weekend.

Rooms were nice, quiet and large, with a fantastic view (we got an upgrade). Excellent location close to downtown and the sea. Top breakfast (if you can have it in one of their package deals). Would get back and recommend.

What a lovely review. Thank you for sharing and we are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Breakfast at Lael’s is the best place to start your day. With so many options to choose from, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Getting breakfast included in your stay if even better. We have offers from time to time that includes other great amenities just check out our websites offers page and you’ll be on your way to saving a few. Thank you for your review and we hope to welcome you back soon.

I attended a convention and had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel. Absolute pleasure! The hotel Lobby is magnificent truly old style California. To my surprise the rooms are ultra modern totally redecorated with nice size bath, and decor. My only complaint, I had to ask for shower cap and small amenities that are almost always placed in bathroom. I called housekeeping and items were delivered within 10 minutes. The restaurant for breakfast has a nice buffet a little pricey, and service is slow if you have to be out in a hurry

The hotel is so beautiful, these little things did not bother me at all, would definitely stay again

Room Tip: Choose high floor bay side

Thank you so much for your kind words. We have taken the feedback regarding the breakfast buffet and shared it with the managers and director of that particular restaurant. Any time you need any extra item like a flatiron, razor, ear plugs, hairspray, deodorant, lint rollers etc... we have an entire list at the ready for you. We refer to this program as "Hyatt Has It". You would be surprised to see how many items we have in stock for you, our valued guest. Therefore, if you ever need anything delivered to your room, just dial 0 and ask. Chances are we have it! This hotel is the biggest hotel on the west coast waterfront, that being said, it does take some time to navigate from one side to the other, so 10 minutes time to fulfill a guest request should be expected, however, the service attendants should let you know this so there are no surprises. Thank you so much for your review and for choosing Grand Hyatt San Diego. We hope to welcome you back soon.

When we want a nice weekend in San Diego where so many of you travel to we book at one of the Hyatt hotels in the area. Manchester has the best location of all Hyatt for water front location and views. with seaport village at the back door, shopping and dinning is right there. I need say nothing much about the Resort... Great rooms Great place period.

We are so incredibly happy to read that you had a great staycation here at our hotel, but beyond that, we are so grateful that we are the hotel you choose when you need to get away from it all. Our customers are the backbone of who and what we are and without you and the opportunity to welcome you back time and again, we would be nothing. I stayed in the Manchester Grand Hyatt for 4 nights on a business trip. First off, this hotel is huge, and the lobby is gorgeous. There are two towers, the Seaport Tower and the Harbor Tower, we were in the Harbor Tower on the 16th floor.

Our view was of the Marriott next door, the marina and the bridge in the background. The room was a normal size, w/ 2 queen beds, a desk, a small coffee table and 2 chairs. The bathroom was fairly standard, although I dislike that the bathroom counter top doesn't go all the way to the walls, and was short by an inch or two on either sides. It makes it easy for things on the counter to roll off and into the corners under the vanity. Not a huge deal, I just find these stand alone vanities that are popular now annoying for creating this dead space on either side and little crevices where things can fall down.

The adult only pool on the 3rd floor overlooking the harbor was lovely, I just wish there was more frequent drink service there. Speaking of service, if you want room service to deliver cereal, an orange juice, and a croissant to your room for breakfast, be prepared to shell out $18 +tax and tip. Room service and spa prices were ridiculous, even with the discount we got for the conference we were attending.

There are several restaurants in the hotel, however they are extremely over priced and not terribly good. The coffee shop is over priced and not very good. It's not a huge deal, because you just walk to the marina village and there are lots of restaurants and shops right there (including a ben and jerry's ice cream). :) There is also a cheesecake factory and a Seasons 52 next door, which are decent. Although I do try to hit local places instead of chains. For breakfast, we ended up walking 3 blocks into the city for Richard Walker's Pancake house (highly recommend).

Overall this hotel is a good place for a conference, it's large, with large ballrooms, located in a great central location near lots of attractions and the city and a short walk to the gaslamp district (for better restaurants and bars). You can also walk to the Maritime museum and tour the aircraft carrier USS Midway.

I would definitely stay at this Hyatt again, I just wish the restaurants were a little better, especially for the money.

Thank you so much for the recent review of our property. We are so happy you enjoyed our hotel but saddened that our food and beverage outlets missed the mark with you in both pricing and quality. As a tip when ordering room service here or at any hotel, already know that the tip is included in the price. There is no need (besides your own desire to go above and beyond) to tip on top of the bill that's being presented to you. These comments have been shared with the restaurants managerial staff and division director. We look forward to welcoming you back soon and again, thank you for your review. We wish you continued happiness and success in all that you do.
