“Great View of the Bay”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

Stayed at this hotel the first night of Comicon a couple of weeks ago. The hotel was really nice. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms and a very nice view of the bay. It is right across the street from the train station and Petco Park. You are also a block away from the Gaslamp District. The hotel itself has a few restaurants (including Roy's) a Starbucks and a bakery. The pool looked very inviting as well (although i did not get a chance to use it). If you are attending an event at the convention center, this hotel is ideal as it is right next door. Of course this being during comicon it was not unusal to see Wonder Woman and Iron Man saying a quick "hello" in the elevator....

Room Tip: Since the hotel is on the bay, try to get an Ocean view and ask for a high floor room.

This is very nice hotel, recently updated. Service is great, our room on the 15th floor facing the harbor is beautiful. Great view. the only bad was that can't sleep with balcony door open. Also the beds were way too soft for our comfort level. I ended up sleeping on the floor one night. Too much street noise, and a construction site that is going 24 hr a day. Location is great, walk to gaslamp quarter with kids, walking distance to Ralph's grocery store. Everything in the hotel is pretty expensive, including the self park for $28/day, $45/day or valet. But that should be expected given the location. Great gym to workout in the morning. nice pool, but a little crowded. We had our kids, and even I thought there were too many kids in the pool. Not recommended for couples who are looking to relax by pool side. lots of shops and restaurants near by to choose from.

Room Tip: book a room in the North side upper floor with balcony, facing the harbor.

Great hotel with beautiful views of San Diego Bay, which we were upgraded to and enjoyed! However, it would have been better if the windows were cleaned, other than that no complaints. The staff was very friendly, the valet attendants were super helpful & courteous! And having the Seaport Village & Boardwalk to enjoy was another plus.

This hotel has a fantastic location overlooking San Diego Bay. It is right next to Seaport Village And across the street from the Gas Lamp section of town. It is also right next to the convention center which is why we were there. The hotel rooms are very nice. The bathrooms are very small. We were in the north tower and were on the side with a bay view. We even had a balcony, the view was spectacular. Our room was cleaned everyday. The pool was fantastic and opened 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM though I saw people there later than that. The only downfall was no free wifi except in a few public areas and it was slow. All the restaurants and food options were also very pricey. I would still love to visit again.

Room Tip: I would defiantly go for a room with the bay view

Expensive... The room view on the Marina side is beautiful, the bell hop men are fabulous and it was an easy check in and out. we were on the 24th floor in the south tower on the concierge floor. The first day we were day it was close and the second day it was close til 5pm. The Concierge room was never explained to us how it worked. By the time we figured it out the free breakfast was over... The out door bar Tequila bar is pretty and the drinks were not over priced but closing the bar at 9:30 one night and 10pm on another night when there were people still there was disappointing... $28 a night self parking a night... Rooms were clean!! The breakfast buffet was a little steep $19.95 pp and the coffee was awful! The bar in the South tower was not that great.. No Coors light and the bartenders were not that friendly... The air conditioner in our room could have been better. it was cool but not cool enough for our liking... The waiter by the pool Branden was a very nice guy! The drinks just needed more ice and when we asked it seemed to be a problem... This is my second time staying here. I stayed a couple of years ago with my Marine and we got a Military discount. This time the rooms were doubled in price and I was told no Military discounts are given... $409 a night is ALOT of money!!! The location is perfect though...

We stayed here our last night in California, and loved it! We got a room with a balcony over looking the bay, and it was worth it! Beautiful views! The room was amazing and everything was very clean. Nice little gym and pool area, but I wouldn't call it super kid friendly.
