I stayed at the Old Town Inn on March 22-March 23, 2007. I found the staff to be polite, and the rooms to be clean. There are no in-room amenities aside from a small bar of soap, and a small shampoo (bring your blow dryer and if you are looking for coffee forget it). There are two sides to the Inn (one appears to have been renovated recently) and my room was located on the older side. It was a business trip and was located near Old Town and within walking distance of Taylor Street where I needed to be the following morning. The Inn is poorly located on the very busy Pacific Highway, and there is nothing to look at except for the I-8 Freeway overpass, the rail & bus transit center located directly underneath the overpass of I-8, and a very large Warehouse type building (Naval & Space Warship Facility of some sort) directly across the street. Very noisy area, thin walls and strange configuration from the lobby to the older part of the Inn (two different driveways, very confusing). Cable TV was horrible (didn't come in very well), but the Continental Breakfast was satisfactory. Stay here only if you are looking to save on cash. I won't be back.
