Stayed here one night prior to flying out early the next morning. Car valet service was great--when we return from a trip, our car is always waiting up front. Shuttle to airport runs frequently.
Room was comfortable but small and in need of some updating.

We stayed at this hotel June 1-5. Our 10th floor marina side room had the most amazing view! Pool was relaxing spacious and we'll maintained. Valet staff was quick and professional. A super great location for accessing lots of area fun. So close to airport but noise was not an issue. Highly recommend!

Checked into this hotel at about 7pm. My daughter lives in La Jolla but after a long 2 days of helping her pack we decided to check-in to a hotel near the airport. All we wanted was a clean comfortable room and a movie. I want to start by saying that every staff person with met was very efficient and kind. There were circumstances that preventing them from doing their job well.

We were told the restaurant was closed for a private party, so we ate dinner at the bar named "Quinns". Surprisingly, it was quite good. My daughter had the tuna rap and I had the turkey burger. I would order either again. After dinner we decided to go to the room. When we walked into the room there was a tv in the entry, turned on. Also the dresser was pulled out from the wall with another TV. We headed back downstairs since it seemed to be an abandonment of work in progress. We were told by the manager that we would be upgraded. Well not much of an upgrade since it was the same room but on a higher floor. We settled into our new room by laying out our toiletries and the clothes for the following morning.

We were finally ready for the movie only to discover that the movie channel on the TV did not work. We called Maintenance and they came right up. There was a problem throughout the hotel with the movie channels. Some rooms had access others did not. After about 1 hour and multiple times in and out by maintenance we lost all TV channels. Ugh. The front desk called to see if we were all settled into our new room. We told them the situation and they said they would move us again. 3rd room! We watched a movie and went to sleep on the most uncomfortable beds!

At 3:30 in the morning we were awaken by the fire alarm. When we opened the door to see what was going on. There stood a pizza delivery woman. She said she was delivering the pizzas we ordered. We said no and she preceeded to argue with us. After shutting the door in her face we went back to bed. BTW the doorbell (in our handicapped room) is connected to the fire alarm for sound. Kind of odd but thats what it was. After getting back in bed for about 3 minutes the alarm goes off again. Low and behold there stood the pizza delivery lady, insisting that she checked and had the right room. Door slam and called the front desk. She said "ohh it's probably for the drunk people in 1062, our room was 1052. Ugh!

We stayed two nights. I was very concerned about staying at this hotel due to the reviews. I must say the only thing that saved this trip is the fact that we were barely in the room we were put in. I heard so many great things about the views that this hotel has to offer. Unfortunately we didn't get to see any of them. We were assigned a room on the second floor. The view was the parking lot. It was a last minute assignment because when we entered the room housekeeping was still in the room. The pillow was dirty, the toilet seat was dirty. I was so annoyed. We were told to check back the next day to see if they have a room on a higher floor or we can get a room with two double beds instead of a king in order to be moved to a higher floor with a better view that night. The bed was comfortable. I am sure the hotel is nice we just got stuck in a bad room with a bad view and a loud kid that was screaming at midnight.
