It's a Best Western, not a Westin. Walls are thin, there's a chemical smell in the air, and the Wi-Fi wouldn't connect, but the water pressure in the bathroom was excellent and I felt safe for my one night here.

For a conference at the convention center but a bit far away. Uber was convenient at about $17-22 for each trip.
It was at a quiet location. Nearby there were many restaurants near universities.
Breakfast was convenient and delicious.
Staff members were friendly and very helpful!

We booked this hotel based on the positive comments. Must say It is all true!! The room was clean, average size and with full kitchen (fridge, microwave, stove, etc.). The location is great, since its near de San Diego State University, so you can go anywhere in minutes.

Room tip: Rooms at the end are very quiet.

We stayed here after attending a football game at SDCCU Stadium. It was easy to reach after the game and very convenient to the SDSU campus.

This is motel-style, with all rooms opening to the outside and adequate parking. Two stories and two separate buildings. There's no elevator to the second floor. Rooms have small refrigerators and microwave ovens, with a small alcove for hanging clothes rather than a closet. The bathroom sink and vanity are part of the room itself, with plenty of counter space, and the toilet and shower are in a separate bathroom. Amenities include shampoo and shower gel in dispensers in the shower, plus bar soap, lotion, and a makeup remover towelette by the sink. Cockroach visits are not guaranteed, but ours occurred in the bathroom. Air conditioning works well but it's loud.

Breakfast is fine, with pancakes, waffles, and oatmeal as hot options plus various cold options and whole fruit. The breakfast area is pitiful; it only accommodates around 15 people, and if there are more than two of you there's a good chance you won't find a place to sit.

Nearby eating options are limited and cater to a college crowd, but you can find a quick bite within walking distance.

Room tip: If taking your luggage up and down stairs will be an issue, request a first-floor room. There's no elevator.
