This is a nice place to stay and is pretty clean but it is an old building that has been somewhat updated. The elevator did not work right and you can tell they are really trying but it is just an old motel that they are trying to make fancy. Inside the rooms are very nice. We had 1 regular room with 2 queen beds and 1 Jr. Suite reserved for our family. When we checked in they upgraded us without asking to 2 of the Jr. Suites so that we would be in the same building and right next to each other. The only thing that I did not like about our room was that the AC did not move into the private room very much at all with out using a fan that is built into the wall. And then it was still hot in the private room. The fan was also VERY loud! Also just to make it so we could sleep we had to crank the AC to the coldest we could get it and then the living room was terribly cold. My Dad was in the other private room and said that it went in his room ok but never got really comfortable. We had our adult children sleeping on the pull out couches in the living room and they said that they were very comfortable and said they were amazed because they had never slept on a pull out that was comfortable. The staff was AMAZING! We worked mostly with Jarrett and he could not have been more accommodating and helpful! This is a great place to stay if you have a bunch of folks and it is very close to everything that we wanted to do. The only thing that I really HATED was the parking. The spot are very narrow and tight against the surroundings which made people park over the lines and wasting spaces. We had a van rented which made finding a spot very difficult. This was our second trip to San Diego and would stay here again without thinking about it. The last time we stay in a place that was almost double the price and not nearly as nice.
