I spent a week here in early November for a class. The hotel has mature trees/foliage and the buildings have been remodeled recently. All of the buildings appeared to be 2 stories - none with elevators. There are 2 pools and several hot tubs that were very nice. The gym is new and sufficient. A few treadmills, bike and free weights. Everything is very clean and staff is very helpful. I enjoyed the outdoor patio/restaurant. They even had gas heaters for the chilly evenings.
There is a nice walking path that goes around the marina. It was really nice during the day but I would be hesitant at night to walk by myself as it isn’t very well lit. The walk to the beach is about 20 minutes, over a busy bridge and past several public parks that again, I would not be comfortable walking at night by myself.
I gave it 4 starts only because some of the surrounding area and buildings away from the center of the resort didn’t seem safe for a single female at night. If you don’t plan to venture far or plan to do everything during daylight hours, you should be fine.More
