You walk in and you feel at home in the Gathering Bar and Grill. The bar is often full with people eating and drinking. A lot of discussion among locals and new diners make it a fun place to eat and drink. Roaming magicians add some interest to your experience. The weekends often have a guitarist singing and playing while you dine. Tables large and small surround the bar and attached dining room. Chef Adam creates some spectacular and unusual dishes. Some menu standards like carne asada and the Goldfinch omlet with crab and dilled hollandaise are great spins. Try a Jackarita from the bar, or my favorite, a Vesper. Also don't miss the bread pudding with tequila sauce. The only problem is you want to go back again and again to try the new specials or drink specialties. The tv song for Cheers "where everybody knows your name" comes to life in this casual but elegant restaurant.
