They won't win any awards for decor but the waffles were great. We're locals and were looking for breakfast for lunch (one of those days) and went there recently for the first time. Because it was lunch it wasn't busy. The waffles (banana and walnut!) and thick sliced bacon were worth the trip. It's inside a so-so motel in Mission Valley but don't let that stop you - convenient location and worth the stop. Can't believe it's taken us all of these years to find it.

Food was basic, but yummy. You might have to wait a while, but it's worth the wait. Yes, the waffles are delicious!

The restaurant has been here for 18 years and I finally went using a restaurant.com certificate. Lots of tourist and now I know why - good food, generous portions and a casual environment. If you are looking for a hip and trendy location - don't go. If you want great waffles or better yet Chicken and waffles then go! The waffles were thick and flavorful and the Chicken was crispy and seasoned just right. Good brewed coffee and a free newspaper to pass the time. Again - lots of tourist, a bit loud (hence the 4 stars versus the 5 stars). We will go again. I am going to ask if they offer fried gizzards - hopefully they will. I was able to share the waffle and chicken plate with BF. Three pieces of chicken and LARGE waffle. Also no hassle using the certificate.

A quirky oddly decorated typical diner with the best mini waffles I've ever had. When we (4 of us) arrived, there was a long waiting list for tables, but there was room at the counter, so we took those seats. Portions are huge, we had - Double Cup Waffle: A blend of white and dark chocolate chips - Ham & Cheese omelette: diced country ham with a mix of jack and cheddar cheese - Bacon & Cheese omelette: diced bacon with a mix of jack and cheddar cheese - 2 Eggs Any Style With 3 pieces of bacon or sausage links. Each egg order had a choice of hash browns or country fries, AND toast or 2 mini waffles. The service was typical diner service, friendly always topping the coffee cup, maybe a little more costly but way better food then Denny's down the road.

Nice variety of waffles but wasn't really outstanding. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but if needed breakfast and was in the area would stop again.
