“The Real Beach”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

We enjoy the sounds of the ocean and birds and appreciate being where there are not many people. This is Playlinda Beach. It is set up with about 13 parking areas right beside the beach. Find the beach that is right for you. I have seen people fishing, walking, and shelling. Beach #13 is clothing optional. There are restrooms near the parking area. Nothing luxorious. But nature is the main attraction here.

A quiet break at the beach. Real nature is present including bugs and jellyfish, but a wonderful beach for relaxation.

“Amazing beach!”
Reviewed 29 April 2014 via mobile

This is a beautiful beach! The sand is soft! You can see the launch pad right from the sand. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is that I hated how, they allowed people to fish right next to you. I was afraid to go in the water, cause I did not want to gwy tangled in their line, there is plenty of places to fish, leave the beach free of fishermen! They bury their fishing rods in the sand and put out like 6 per person, which is annoying cauzet you can't get around in the water. Other than that beautiful beach! It very natural! And well kept!!

“Well worth the trip!”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

Visited this area while vacationing in Florida, and it is a rare treat! We explored the Turtle Mound and some of the other things to see & do there. Got to see dolphins and manatees - in the wild... magical! We spent an afternoon on the beach. Long beautiful beach with plenty of space to take long walks, find shells and other treasures, and of course enjoy the water! I would definitely come back. We did not see everything in the short time we were there but it certainly piqued my interest to return. Even if you only have a little time, though, it's worth the trip. Very nice! And super nice folks in the Visitors Center, where you can watch a short slideshow about the area (don't miss that!) Because it is part of the National Park Service, there is an admission, but if you are lucky enough to be a Senior, be sure to get a lifetime Senior Pass for a minimal cost (I think it's $10), and you can use that for any NPS location - a super bargain!!

A beautiful beach, soft sand, good waves for body surfing and devoid of all the commercial trappings. Worth the trip.
