My friend Donna visited from Baltimore and, since I have a very small condo here in town, opted to get her accommodations at Casa Coquina. Am so glad I did, and Donna was thrilled. The inn is a bit quirky -- hey, how many B&Bs have a knight in armor on horseback in the lobby? -- but wonderful. You are greeted with a big warm smile from owner Ginny with her co-owner hubby Dennis giving a second great smile. The guest rooms are beautifully appointed (and Donna said the bed was VERY comfortable), the stained glass windows throughout the building are great. There's a balcony off the rooms' hall that features a spectacular view of the river for sunrise. Since Donna was staying alone, Ginny & Dennis graciously allowed me to join her for Happy Hour and Breakfast. Happy Hour included a good selection of beers, a couple of wines, soft drinks and simple & tasty hors d'oeuvres. Breakfast was a wonderful fresh frittata, fruit, excellent coffee and homemade pastry. And speaking of homemade, you haven't lived until you taste Ginny's Snickerdoodle cookies, warm from the oven! Dennis & Ginny also have a very good eye towards local attractions to fill your days with activities in town -- how about a tour through the National Wildlife Refuge? We weren't able to go on the luminescent kayak outing, but did check out the terrific local live theater. They made sure we knew about nearby NASA Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach and much more. Ginny & Dennis made us feel like we were visiting family, and I'll definitely book with them again for Donna's next visit. Kudos to a terrific place with terrific people!

Room Tip: Sitting out on the balcony in the evening does require mosquito repellent.

My husband and I recently had the privilege of staying at this lovely bed and breakfast. The moment we walked in we were greeted by one if its proprietors with a big smile. The facility was beautiful and very cozy. The room was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The owners made you feel like they truly wanted you there. The food was worth going off of our diet! The Casa Coquina was the type of inn that we would run if we were inn keepers!

We really enjoyed our short stay at the inn. The rooms were great and the house has a eclectic charm that you don't find in most inns. We can't wait to get back. We will definitely recommend it to others.

We have been staying at Casa Coquina while visiting friends in the area for the past eight years. The last few years the former owners had really wanted to sell and they didn't keep it a secret. There were rigid rules about breakfast time, a series of managers that left, and the house was getting run down and very cluttered but we stayed anyway because it was so convenient to our location and they do offer sitting rooms and suites.

This was our first time staying since the owners had changed and what a difference! The new owners have some indirect experience since one of their parents already own a B&B and are determined to please. We especially appreciated their wonderful breakfasts and the flexibility of being able to choose any time between 8 and 10 AM. The former owners had insisted on 8:30, earlier than we normally like to rise. They redecorated simply but cozily, removing all tacky objects, made sure everything was painted nicely and was comfortable, and were genuinely welcoming and wanting to please. We stayed for two weekends (went to Disney in between) in the Diamond Room, where I could stay up and go online in the parlor (free wifi but they have a computer room for those without PC's) without disturbing my husband in the bedroom. We could go out on the porch and see the lovely view and the amenities included a jacuzzi, all very reasonably priced.

We wish the new owners luck in this endevor although I don't think they'll need it. They know what guests want and aim to please and we'll definitely be back again next year.

Room Tip: If you have more than a couple, we recommend either the Black Pearl Room or Sapphire Room. Both have...

We stayed here for one night in the Opal room. The king-size bed was very comfortable. Nate made a very nice breakfast. There is a great mexican restaurant within walking distance. We went to Kennedy Space Center which was 15 minutes away. This is a very unique place and worth a visit.

We stayed here for one night whilst travelling around Florida. The owners were really welcoming on arrival and had a happy hour with beer, wine, juices and food at 5pm. This was really nice and relaxing after a day walking around the Space Centre. We stayed in the Emerald Room which had masses of character and an excellent bed for a good nights sleep. There was plenty of information on the local area and the owners were happy to answer any questions and give advise where needed. The home made breakfast was really good. There is balcony to relax on which overlooks the water and the NASA site, plus the use of a hot tub if wanted.
