This inn has been our oasis in Wellfleet for at least 12 years. We go down twice a year to get away from phones, TV and our hectic schedule. Just park your car in the generous lot and you may never need it again. You can walk to restaurants, galleries and beaches. The hosts are pleased to do what they can to make your visit a pleasureable one. This inn is a step back in time to the real Cape Cod where the water, weather, wildlife and an easy going lifestyle take precedence.

We thoughly enjoyed our 2nd stay at The Holden Inn. The rooms are just charming and so comfortable. The owners are very informative and helpful. The Inn and grounds are so nice that we are considering the Holden to be the place for our garden wedding and reception. We will definatly spread the word and tell our friends of this special place in Wellfleet.

Aside from being dirty, dingy, ugly and uncomfortable, the owners/manager of this place are unfriendly and basically tried to steal our money. The entire experience was so bad that we simply packed it in and stayed in a Motel on Route 6. If you want to enjoy your stay in Wellfleet, do not stay here.

if you're looking for a 4-star pampering experience, this ain't it.
however, if you're looking to experience classic cape cod in an inn with one of the most scenic ocean/wildlife porch views in wellfleet (stay in the Lodge building on their property for this view), you're in luck. and you cannot beat the rates. we stayed in a room with 2 twin beds for $70/night - unheard of in high season on the Cape. ya, the place could use some renovating, ya, the beds are a little lumpy, ya, there's no shower inside but the outdoor shower is AWESOME. roughing it a little is worth it for the location and the price. you can walk to all the restaurants and art galleries; take walks on the beach or nature trails; ride across the highway to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world on the national seashore. i recommend a trip to the Beachcomber, great little bar/restaurant right on a cliff with gorgeous Cahool Hollow Beach right below (a 5-minute drive from the in). enjoy!

We have visited The Holden Inn on an annual basis and the reason it is annual is because of the Inn itself and mostly the family that runs it. We were dismayed at the letters written about the Inn and of course you cannot believe their credibility if they do not include their addresses. We have always had a wonderful and peacefull stay and would recommend the Inn to anyone who would like to experience a real Cape Cod experience.
