We usually have dinner in Ptown, as that's where we stay. We're so glad we decided to give Van Rensselar's a try. Our app, a Margherita flatbread with mozz, fresh tomato, basil and a hint of garlic was crisp with the perfect amount of cheese. Not too heavy, so we still looked forward to having a full dinner. My husband had the garden shrimp scampi and I ordered the jumbo stuffed shrimp with lobster stuffing. Each dish was wonderful with the shrimp cooked exactly right, The scampi sauce had a great balance of tomato and garlic. The lobster stuffing was outstanding, rich with the taste of the lobster. Our server was attentive and each course was timed perfectly. The restaurant is upscale, but the prices were in line with the quality. We'll definately return on our next Cape vacation.
The restaurant is seasonal, about late April through October.
