I love the quietness and the stillness of the waters. I just wished the water wasn't so stirred up by the oyster farmers constantly
checking their beds. Very Peaceful though and you can definitely read in peace!

Perfect during off season - quiet, uncrowded, especially nice after a tasty dinner at the Bookstore restaurant. Wish Wellfleet Harbor weren't full of jetties and rock walls....someone in Wellfleet gov't. should read "Rowing Forward, Looking Back" by the Pleasant Bay/Chatham/Nauset Harbor shellfish and sea shore expert, Sandy Macfarlane....and take her advice.

interesting beach, but definitely not one of the beautiful beaches of Cape Cod, more of a "working beach" with the commercial clam and shellfish operations. But still a nice spot to enjoy the ocean

This is a lovely place to relax by the calming waters of the bay. When the tide is in, the beach is rather small, but when it's out, you can walk for practically a mile, and still be in ankle deep water. At low tide, it's a great time to go searching for shells. I've found many pretty shells to add to my collection, and was even lucky enough to spot an enormous and live horseshoe crab, swimming around. The water is warm, and it is a family friendly environment. Pretty views all around, and close to the marina. Definitely worth a look!
