“Enjoyed watching the seals”
Reviewed 12 August 2014 via mobile

The place just has awesome atmosphere. From the time you arrive and the restaurant is right on the beach in between two dunes to watching the seals near the shore. There just nothing to complain about. The staff is friendly and helpful picking out your food., and the food is quick and tasty. Definitely worth a visit.

“Great Beach Bar with History!”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

The Beachcomber has been around for years (and it shows!). It's the quintessential Cape Cod beach bar and restaurant. The food is good and the atmosphere is laid back. Wear flips flops or sandals....heals and sneakers just don't work well here with all the sand!

The bar has a great drink menu. It can be loud, but that's why you go here - for the energy of it all. So, sit back, have a Goombay Smash and relax. This is the best place to do it!

“Beachcombers is *the* beach bar”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

First, it's on the beach. Yes, the parking lot out front has partially disappeared to Mother Nature and her winter storms, and the place seems to be cut out of a sand dune. Second, the attire is sandy beach casual. You'll see families with kids, trendy cool people, surfers and everyone will look like they are having a good time, even when it's pouring out. Beachcombers has a raw bar on the deck, live music at night and seafood on the menu. The path to Cahoon Hollow Beach is steep, so it's not for everyone, and the water can be cold since this is Cape Cod not Florida. You'll need a Wellfleet beach pass to park in front before 5pm. Parking in back at the Beachcomber's lot is by Beachcomber pass (see their website) or pay as you go. They also have webcams that give you a peek at beach and nightlife on the Cape if you want to check it out right now.

“Returned to this great beach!”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

I'd been once before to this restaurant a few years back, and wanted to bring my boyfriend and 2 early teens to enjoy the surf and food. I'd forgotten how broad and long the beach was, and the great bluffs that back it. The steep sandy walk down was fun, making it feel like you earned the experience of finding this spot. The waves were quite big and frankly too much for the 11 year old who got a tumble in the surf and head of sand ( fun except the skinned knee and scary feeling of the undertow), so be safe. Put your name on the list for a table about an hour before dinner time, or you'll be waiting over an hour....we didn't so had to forgo the lobster I remembered from before :(. All in all, a wonderful Cape Cod experience and highly recommended. (We instead headed to the Wellfleet drive-in and ate there, watching a movie under the stars!).

“Super fun”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Went here for a concert. Arrived a bit early, so had some drinks. Really cool spot located basically on the beach. Fun atmosphere, good mix of young/old/kids. They cleared out the inside for the concert, bar stayed open and it wasn't super crowded which was nice. Will definitely be back.
