We ate at Adrianna's in early June while visiting the Outer Banks in NC. We were in Manteo to see the Lost Colony play and someone in a little shop suggested we try this newly renovated restaurant. We are certainly glad we took their advice.
Upon entering the dining area we were impressed with the simple, clean, and bright decor of the restaraunt. It was very "uptown" in an understated elegant sort of way. We were seated near one of many windows that overlook the waterfront and our view was delightful. The soft dinner music was perfect and added to the ambience.
Our meal consisted of:
Appetizer of North Carolina shrimp sauteed in a spiced garlic butter sauce served with grilled french loaf.
A caesar salad complete with shaved parmesan, hard boiled eggs and homemade croutons.
We shared and entree and a desert (since we had eaten a late lunch)...
Entree of garlic crusted Halibut (fish of the day) served over butter braised red potatoes, asparagus and a beurre blanc.
We finished off an the incredible meal with coffee and a desert that was simply to die for.... a warm fudge brownie with caramelized banana over pastry cream and a hot fudge sauce....
Kuddos to the chef. We dine out a lot and we both agreed that this rated as one of our top meals in a very long time. Everything tasted healthy and fresh with perfect seasoning.
I wish I lived closer and could try everything on the menu. If we ever travel back to the OBX we will certainly plan a visit to Adrianna's and think you should too!!
