Torrey is a tiny town and convenient to Capitol Reef. Days Inn sits in what appears to be the 'center of town' next to a convenience store and gas station and a few other small stores. The rooms were clean and size appeared to be a bit above average as was the indoor pool. Beds were somewhat bouncy and sheets could use replacing. TV was not flat screen but very large with perfect reception. Breakfast was standard with a waffle maker and it was nice that they had an eating area in both the lobby and a separate conference room to accommodate overflow. There is a hill behind the hotel where the kids can go for a quick climb. If I were to ever to visit Torrey again, I'd stay here. Best Western was outside of town on its own.

I rented this hotel when on vacation with my mother, who is crippled, and walks with a crutch. When making a reservation (a week ahead of time), I specifically requested a first floor room for her. Not only were we not given one, but there was no elevator for my mom, and the manager balked at us for even suggesting either getting the firs floor room or any handicap assistance at all. The room was OK; no weird stuff, but there was neither a mini fridge nor a guest fridge. The TV and microwave looked like there both from the '80s. The receptionist was really nice, though, and did her best to help me. Other complaints include the bed headboards spontaneously falling off the wall and the phone not working until I plugged it into the second phone jack. Fun times.

We stayed at the Days Inn on the main street in this small rural town. We stayed here last year as well. It offers close access to Capitol Reef park headquarters. It is your standard hotel – but it is very clean, and we had a good king bed with fridge and coffee maker and a good shower. Who could ask for more at the on-line rate we received! Clean is very important to me, and our room was very clean.
If you are in Torrey - Café Diablo is a wonderful place to eat! It’s the place to eat! You must go there. Make a reservation in the peak season.

We chose Days Inn Capitol Reef to break our journey from Bryce Canyon NP to Capitol Reef NP and then to Moab, UT. After a wonderful drive along scenic highway 12, we made our stop here to get some rest and check out the quaint town of Torrey.

The front desk staff when we checked in was friendly and helpful. We got our room quickly and were able to get some needed downtime. The room was clean and had the standard amenities of a fridge, microwave, tv (CRT type), heater, and coffee maker. There was also complimentary access to wifi from our room. The bathtub was most welcome to soothe our tired bodies.

Other amenities offered were a heated indoor pool (we did not use it due to lack of time) and free continental breakfast. We had our breakfast early to secure a table and chairs since the dining area was rather small for the number of guests the motel can accommodate.

A few steps away from the motel were a gas station, a Subway store, coffee shop, sports shop, and a visitor information center. Capitol Reef NP was only a few miles away along UT 24. A nice nearby place to visit which we accidentally discovered was Fishlake National Forest where we saw many people riding their ATVs.

For the room rate we paid, this stay was well worth the price.

Breakfast consists of bake-your-own waffles, hard boiled eggs, dry cereal, toast, milk, juice, coffee. Staff was eager to help. Two days out of three my key card had to be reactivated,,,,, frustrating when you return to your room with an armload of stuff!
