My husband and I stayed one night (wish it had been longer!) at Notom on our way to Denver. Chad and Roma and Johanna were wonderful hosts. I'll try to summarize the pros: huge rooms (we had our pick, as we were the only guests staying that night); huge bathrooms; laundry!; a wonderful breakfast with delicious fresh fruit; they have a bison (a small bison, but still!); the most stars I had ever seen; quiet location convenient to Capitol Reef with AMAZING views; Roma's brother and his son showed up just before we left RIDING HORSES; we saw mule deer...so much for a summary. Roma's family has lived in the area for a long time, and the books in the rooms gave even more background for those who are interested. We enjoyed very much talking with her about the area, and had a nice conversation over breakfast.

Room Tip: Any of the rooms would be good, but we selected the one with the horse mural - the sun can show up a...

We thoroughly enjoyed 2 nights at Notom Ranch B&B with our hosts Chad, Roma and Johanna. This is a beautiful home situated on a hilltop with 3 large guest rooms, each with private bathrooms, all with wonderful views of the valley and mountains from the large deck on the upper floor. The breakfasts are exceptional and shared family style with our hosts.

When we were looking to book accommodation in the Capital Reef park area we were a bit concerned that Notom Ranch may be a bit far away from the park but it actually worked out perfectly. Notom Ranch is located on Notom road which borders the East side of the park. With a trail book and restaurant recommendations courtesy of our hosts we ended up driving a wonderful route around the outside edges of the park. Without our hosts' advice we never would have thought of seeing the park this way, would have missed hiking Headquarters Canyon, a great lunch in Boulder and exceptional views.

We're already thinking of returning to Notom, next time for longer so we can just enjoy the ranch.

Room Tip: we had a tour of all the rooms and although we selected Robbers Roost "the cowboy room", a...

Notom Ranch B&B is very conveniently located to Capitol Reef and surrounding area. The area itself is remote, and Notom Ranch even more so - which is very nice. Chad & Roma were great hosts with a depth of knowledge of the area. The one footnote - we were early risers to start our day hikes, so we could not take advantage of the family style breakfast. Other than that, the accommodations and location are great and recommended.

If you're looking for a room with a view, Notom Ranch is the place to stay! Amazing location away from everywhere, huge bedrooms and bathrooms, chairs on the balcony, extremely quiet although it is possible to hear a coyote barki which only makes it more of an adventurous place! Best breakfast ever: fresh fruit, bacon and eggs, fresh juice, cereals, home-made jam, tea and coffee, real milk! Last but not least: Chad, Roma and Johanna make you feel at home and you just feel like staying there longer than planned...

We stayed at Notom Ranch on a driving trip this summer and it was definitely was one of the highlights of our trip! Johanna, the caretaker of the B&B, was absolutely delightful and friendly. We arrived in the evening and were shown to the homestead room. Our large room had a king sized bed and a large bathroom. Note: all the upstairs rooms have a jet tub, no shower. All the rooms have access to a large wrap-around porch so you can sit outside and enjoy the scenery. Breakfast was a french toast casserole with yogurt, fruit, sausage and granola. After breakfast we got to feed the resident buffalo, Bill, which was awesome. My only regret is we only stayed one night!

Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent! There are three rooms upstairs, all with king beds and private bath. Th...

A fantastic surprise, a beautiful ranch with really fantastic people.. Everything was perfect (context, food, room, cleaning).. The problem is that if you go there then you would never leave.. We are really sorry we couldn't stay more..

Geology junkies that we are, we were excited to stay in the capital reef np area. We had read the praises of Notom ranch as well. Our car had a different idea, however, and broke down on a nearby mountain road. As we were towed into nearby Torrey, we got cell reception and called to explain why we would not be there. Chad and Roma, the delightful owners, and Johanna, who is the unofficial greeter and co hostess, would have none of it. They gathered us and our gear, treated us like family, and showed us why in so many ways why their b n b is number one. This stay will be a fond memory for years to come.

Room Tip: In addition to three large guest rooms with balconies, they have an enormous apartment for families.
