No owner present to coordinate the stay with other guests. In the morning owner still not present and local employee servered bread pudding and bacon for breakfast. Still can't believe that one. No brewed decaf and didn't want to brew a whole pot. Very beautiful building but without owner participation a very sterile and cold environment .

Spent one night at the schoolhouse. Very nice in all respects. Excellent hot breakfast. Unique and very comfortable. No complaints whatsoever!

Third floor room has a great view of the surrounding town and hills.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Torrey Schoolhouse. Our room was on the third floor. A bit of a climb to get the luggage up there, but a very nice, quiet, clean room. Loved the massage chair after a long day of driving. Breakfast was very good. Highly recommend.

In our view, the only place to stay in Torrey and only a short drive to Capital Reef NP. Although not luxurious, very comfortable….a real schoolhouse with a storied past (re: Butch Cassidy?) but totally renovated and quite comfortable! Gourmet family style breakfast. Negatives? Only one set time for breakfast; there’s no elevator so consider that when staying on the 3rd floor. Our room was on the third floor (Moenkopi room) which was comfortably large with a modern bath and great massage chair! We have no reservations about recommending this B&B.

This B&B is lovely. We had a great view from the Fremont room on the third floor and a very comfortable bed. Most rooms, if not all, have a massage chair which was much appreciated after a day of hiking at Capital Reef National Park. The innkeeper lets you use the refrigerator on each floor for snacks/drinks/tomorrow's lunch. Her breakfasts are delicious and plentiful, served family style so you can take as much or little as you want. There are several different types of rooms so you are sure to find one that fits your needs/taste.The general store in town is just a few blocks away, so you can walk to pick up your picnic lunch. I didn't see anywhere else in Torrey that measured up to this B&B.

Room Tip: Ask about which rooms have the best views. There is no elevator so beware, you have to carry your lu...

Torrey is a most pleasantly surprising town. About halfway between Moab and Bryce Canyon, where Routes 24 and 12 intersect, it is in a beautiful valley and has an official information center, several art galleries, excellent cafes and an historic bookstore. Torrey also has its old schoolhouse, where Butch Cassidy came to town socials, meticulously restored and wonderfully renovated to a spacious, comfortable and meticulously clean B&B. Ty, the owner, gave us a friendly welcome and overview of where to find whatever we might need, before excusing herself for family commitments. Diane, who served an excellent breakfast, generously and expertly filled us in on the history of the building, the town and the area. Our room, on the third floor, had impressive views west and south, a wonderful vibrating chair, interesting local tribal decor, and all the comforts of home. Some 'not to miss' places in southern Utah are Route 12, Torrey and this Schoolhouse B&B.

Room Tip: All rooms looked excellent, best to choose by one's taste in their unique decor, but those on th...
