The front desk staff were excellent - friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. We loved the suite and only had two issues. For a "brand new" hotel, we had some mildew in the bathroom and the closet door was off track and we were unable to reattach it. The second was we reserved a suite with a view and were disappointed. To be honest, they could say that the DISTANT mountains were our view but what we saw mostly was the parking lot and the hotel next door. Not a view - in our opinion. For the price - not the value we expected. The lobby is beautiful and with just a little more care - could be an awesome experience.

Checked n onSunday for a little getaway for Memorial Day Holiday with Hbby ad another couple. The lobby area was hot...doors opened wide, not sure why but was very humid in the lobby and elevator. Front desk staff was friendy and helpful, Cheryl and Yuri are the first shift desk clerks.
Our room was GREAT, overlooking the courtyard and the waterfall in rear of property. Not sure why tey didn't have the AC on in the room but didn't take long for he room to cool off once turned on HIGH. They offer goodies every evenig, like Eggs Rolls,Chips andSala, Chicken Nuggets, Pizza Bites, along with Wine and Beer for those over 21 to enjoy. Their indoor pool is nice also, jutwish they had a Hot Tube, would have been FANTASTIC after a day ofRiding Moorcycles an exploring waterfalls i the area. The only real complaint I havehas nothing to do with the hotel, there was a family there with 5 kids, who allowed teir kids t room the hote 24/7. At 230am you could hear them out in the hallway laughing, cusng and being just plain a PAIN!! The night clerk Doran did try nd get them back in their room several times but they wouldn't stay. Breakfast was good, different hot choices every morning, aongwith Danish,Muffns,Bagels, Fruit, Cold Cereal.I might suggest puttin the danish in on o the chaffn dshes and offering them warm, that wouldbe PERFECT. Thanks to the staff.

Room Tip: Ask ofr one overlooking courtyard/waterfall

After a long day of driving, complicated by construction, long delays, heavy traffic.... We finally arrived late at the Mountain Lodge. We entered a beautiful and extremely clean lobby, and was greeted so cheerfully by Yuri and Danie and even called me by name. Yuri said we were getting concerned about you, and was just getting ready to call and check on you, to see if you were ok!! That just started my visit out great! I had a king suite the was just amazing...in every way, and once again my gals called just to make sure everything was ok! What outstanding staff this establishment maintains! You will not be disappointed unless you just have to find something to complain about! It will NOT be the front desk staff!

The location and decor was great! Customer service was excellent. Some very nice touches, especially the beautiful waterfall in the back. Unfortunately, the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Also, the air conditioner was very loud and disrupted our sleep. We were supposed to stay two nights, but we only ended up staying one night instead due to poor sleep quality/quantity. It's too bad because it was very clean and pretty. But, that's not why you stay at a hotel.

Friendly atmosphere from manager and staff. We stayed here for three nights and used this as our Base when doing day trips to Dupont State Forest, Triple Falls, Hooker Falls and High Falls. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff very courteous and provided reccomendations for the areas sites, close to Pisgah National Forest, Sliding rock and Looking Glass Falls. Catch the Flat Rock playhouse for a peformance and the Carl Sandberg house. The Breakfast was very filling and the selections provided us with an excellent base to start our road trips each day. We will definitely be back!!!!!!

Room Tip: Any room would be good.

If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay, great breakfast (and evening snacks), and, just like the Cheers theme song "where everyone knows your name", then this is the place for you. Just walking into the lodge is an experience. You are greeted by a beautiful stone fireplace surrounded by leather couches and seats. The beautiful high ceilings just overwhelm you as you step into this place. Once in you are greeted by a very friendly employee (not fake, but very genuine). You know you are in a friendly place when even the maids greet you with a smile and a "good morning". The best seat in the house is early morning outside by the waterfall. The sound of falling water will set you day off just right. The rooms are beautiful and roomy. We had a two room suite and each room had a ceiling fan (just like home). Plenty of room. I would do a commercial for this place if I could. Rarely have I ever been made to feel at home as I was here. As I said in the title...........the is the "Perfect Place".
