Typical looking little pizza joint on the corner serving classic New York style Pizza with imaginative combinations of toppings. Great service.

We were looking for a speedy lunch since we were shopping and sight seeing. Stopped in on a recommendation from a local. We got 3 slices of pizza, did not like any of them. I have had pizza numerous times in New York City and usually it is exceptionally good. Have to say this was a disappointment. Might have been a bad day or new cook, who knows. With all the choices in NYC just can't recommend this place.

This was disappointing for my first experience of authentic NY pizza ... READ ON HOWEVER ... This may have been due to the limitations of my diet and corresponding selections available. If you don't care to eat one of the freshly pre-made pizzas in the display - which MANY people did and seemed to really enjoy - you can choose from a menu of preselected combinations or choose any 4 items from many and the crust of your choice, including Sicilian or whole wheat. I look forward to the day I can have cheese again (following NAET - allergy elimination treatment for mold spores) so I can return and indulge in the real thing.

Two Boots serve up one really great slice of pizza! The 'V for Vegan' with daiya 'cheese', artichoke, mushrooms, onions and red and green pesto does not disappoint. We grabbed a few slices to go from the West Village store for lunch, and with various locations around New York, Two Boots is also a great stop off at night between all the great bars around the city. We also ate in the video store branch on Avenue A on a Saturday night, sitting in this time with a beer, enjoying the buzzing atmosphere and screening of Vertigo on in the background. With a wide range of pizza slices for all, Two Boots' 'Veggie Nirvana' section is particularly impressive offering veggies/vegans a slice of authentic New York-style pizza.

Upper West side location has a good staff that keeps the place moving. With so many choices for food on the west side, Two Boots seems to have a loyal following for the unusual pizza toppings- crawfish, Cajun Ham, Spiced Shrimp, etc. It is a novelty destination for people and has many 7 locations in New York City.
They also serve sandwiches, salads, calzones, and desserts but the traffic seems to be about the pizza.I like their thin crusts and that they are light on the cheese. They also will make a whole wheat crust and carry non-dairy vegan cheese. Personally, there are better pizza places in New York but Two Boots carries a pizza that will suit just about anyone so for that alone they are worth considering.
