Owner description: Grand Central Terminal is the most extraordinary public space in New York City. Opened to the public in 1913, this historic train terminal is a world-famous landmark in Midtown. Its rich history is a story of immense wealth and great engineering. Grand Central is one of the busiest train stations in the world, with approximately 750,000 visitors every day. It is the home of Metro-North Railroad, a subway station, iconic restaurants, shops, and the world's most alluring Apple Store. Some of the highlights to see along your tour of Grand Central include the opal-faced clock, valued at $20 million, above the Information Booth, the Largest Tiffany Glass Clock in the World below the 48-foot, 1500-ton Transportation statue overlooking 42nd Street at Park Avenue, and the mystifying acoustics of the Whispering Gallery in front of the Oyster Bar and Restaurant. Audio and guided tours are available for those with a passion for history. More information regarding tours and ways to plan your visit can be found on the Grand Central Terminal website.

And its even more stunning in real life. Its amazing and breathtakingly huge! Worth a visit even if you just pop in to say you have been and seen it!

Awesome to call it the least. What a train/ metro station in the heart of the city. Great architecture and huge place. Downstairs trying to buy tickets for the Subway took as a while as its quite crowded and not easy to understand the dispensing ticket machines, so we had to queue to buy the tickets and the attendants were just changing turns and it took as a while.

I was so impressed with Grand Central Terminal. I had no idea there was so much to see and do while there. The lower lever is filled with all kids of food to eat. Shops are also located inside. My family loved it!

The girl in the audio tour booth just sat and ate while we waited for a tour. We waited and waited, various people came to her window and asked when she would be ready and they were ignored. First time since i arrived in New York that we saw really poor service, and such a shame as it is such a beautiful building and we passed on the tour and left in the end.

Most people have seen this in films, but it's well worth seeing in real life. The building is beautifully maintained. Walk up the stairs and you're suddenly in an Apple store without even realising. Underground your have the dining concourse, where you can find everything, and I almost missed, but glad I didn't, the market area, particularly the Grand Central Market - full of culinary delights.
