Owner description: Grand Central Terminal is the most extraordinary public space in New York City. Opened to the public in 1913, this historic train terminal is a world-famous landmark in Midtown. Its rich history is a story of immense wealth and great engineering. Grand Central is one of the busiest train stations in the world, with approximately 750,000 visitors every day. It is the home of Metro-North Railroad, a subway station, iconic restaurants, shops, and the world's most alluring Apple Store. Some of the highlights to see along your tour of Grand Central include the opal-faced clock, valued at $20 million, above the Information Booth, the Largest Tiffany Glass Clock in the World below the 48-foot, 1500-ton Transportation statue overlooking 42nd Street at Park Avenue, and the mystifying acoustics of the Whispering Gallery in front of the Oyster Bar and Restaurant. Audio and guided tours are available for those with a passion for history. More information regarding tours and ways to plan your visit can be found on the Grand Central Terminal website.

Breathtaking architecture to be found in Gran Central Terminal, you don't realise how big it is until you are in there. No photos can do it justice.

Despite being a gorgeous building, with places to eat and an apple sotre, it recalls you several movies (despite the station always looks different in them ...). And you always can get a train ! Beautiful cristal chandeliers and a zodiac painting in the high, high roof are really impressive. Restaurants serve Brooklin Brew and Long Island beers, and in the outside open spaces with chairs for a good conversation, maybe a cigar, if you will. And... you always can get a train !

We have all seen it in movies over and over again but it's nothing like actually being there. The architecture is amazing. The crowd swallows you and the place is just full of life. Even the food court reflects how diverse the city is with all the wide array of offerings. As mentioned before in other reviews this is a great "freebie" in NYC.

Go there just to see the lovely old building, very atmospheric and see how busy it is. Get pictures from the stairs at the end.

I was in her several times on my recent visit to New York last week. The Subway System was a great way to travel $30 for a weeks pass. The staff here at this Terminal was above average and most MTA employees in other stations were great. This place is a must see for anyone going to NYC.
