The hotel was adequate. Very basic no amenities and very noisy with the trains going passed day and night. No parking. However in a very cosmopolitan area, close to cheap souvenir shops and close to subways. Took about twenty minutes to Times square on subway. Would not stay here again.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms near the railway.

Stayed for 7 nights, great value for money, room was clean and the beds comfortable. If you are a light sleeper the noise from trains going over Manhattan bridge (which is right beside) may disturb you, but as we were tired from sightseeing we didn't really affect us. Location is close to East Broadway subway, so easy access to uptown Manhattan, and also M15 bus route to South Seaport and Battery Park. Would definitely stay again.

I simply cannot ward you off this hotel strongly enough. It is leant up against the side of the Manhattan Bridge and the trains run all night. I am currently sat looking out of my window watching the subway go past me ten feet away. Ear plugs will not help as the whole room shakes. The room is so small we cannot unpack, there is no tea or coffee in there and no breakfast facilities. Please don't make the same mistake we did, it has ruined our holiday and to think these people have the gall to charge you to stay here...

I truly hope they don't get punished by their own success. This is one serious good hotel for a very very good price. Yes, it's located in Chinatown, but that's the wonderful thing about it too. There's an endless number of Chinese and other eastern restaurants most of them with reasonable quality and ridiculous low prices. The hotel itself is ok. It's not the most modern, but who cares? You're in this city to discover it and only need the hotel to sleep, right? So I was happy it was clean. Yes, clean and not New York clean. The only thing you need to be aware of is the fact the subway runs feet above your head, so ask for a room as far away from the front as possible. Apart from that, and the little off-path location, this will be my hotel for a long time whenever I'm in town.
There's an ice machine and vending machines located on the top floor. The lobby is located at the 2nd floor which is a little odd at first. Room was also above average size.

Room Tip: Ask for a room as far away from the subway as possible

I would recommend this hotel to anyone for being affordable to begin with. This is a relatively quiet and affordable part of Manhattan. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean (but could use a paintjob) and the beds are good. If you have a view then it's on new WTC but with the Manhattan bridge right outside (double windows so not too noisy). Since you're in Chinatown and near Little Italy you're always near good and affordable food. All downtown attractions are walking distance, and the F train which is five minutes out brings you to the heart of Midtown (West 4th street which is good to enjoy the nightlife) and anywhere from there. If you're on a budget then you can't do much better than this.
