“Worth a visit”

Sadly tours are no longer offered to the public so all you can see is the exterior of the building . Great to visit if you are interested in the financial markets . Go early on weekends to avoid huge crowds .

The NYSE is not open to the public, however, if you have special connections it is possible to arrange a tour. I was lucky to have the opportunity to see the inside of the NYSE! It looks very similar to a movie set because CNBC and many other news stations are set up all throughout the NYSE. Also, there are many colorful screens all around the interior and on the walls. The entire atmosphere was very exciting! It was the highlight of our trip to New York!

“NYSE is not a museum -- try the Museum of American Finance”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 November 2013

There are no tours to the NY Stock Exchange. It's really not a destination by itself. All you can do is walk past and take a photo or two. But here is a tip if you want to visit a museum or to learn about the financial markets-- go to the Museum of American Finance (only 500 feet down the street). That is a good museum with plenty of interesting and/or educational financial exhibits.

Lovely building on the outside. Lots of security and barriers around. Only thing to do is to look and admire it's facade and take pictures. Slightly disappointing. The building is not open to the public.

Can't go inside and there is security everywhere. Financial district was cool though lots of pubs. Besides taking photos not much else to do.
