Was a nice place to go on a rainy day, didn't go up to the top but did a little window shopping. I can imagine it's great when there is an event on.

Any time of the year this place is hopping. Great place to meetup, great food and centrally located. Not parking friendly unless you go really late on off days, but I think nowadays they have meter parking.

We did the Rockefeller tour before we did top of the rock to kill time. The guide was great and we saw amazing art and art deco architecture we would have never seen/ noticed if we hadn't done the tour. They give you head sets so you can easily hear the guide. Be prepared for lots of (easy pace) walking/ standing for and hour fifteen. We were not prepared for this and were quite exhausted after a long day of waking around the city.
