“Everyone should go”

Plan ahead to see a specific area. This helps avoid feeling overwhelmed when you get in the doors! We were able to focus on a specific few galleries and add a few things along the way. At one time the cafeteria was very good, but no longer. Save your money for the hog dog guy on the street.

“A gem in the park!”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

To make your MET experience even better, don't forget to take the elevator up to the top floor to the rooftop terrace! It's a part not many know about and will surely make your visit so much better. A drink and snack with a view of Central Park on a rooftop with grass and flowers, who could ask for a better afternoon break?

“Always a pleasure”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

I've been to The Met at least 4 - 5 times now and I never get bored. A first time visitor could spend a whole day here and still not see everything. This place is a world class collection of global art and well worth the time and cost.

“almost overwhelming”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

let me start off by saying.....you can not see it all in one day.....that being said, you can still see quite a bit....we focused primarily on the American wing, and a few other sections.... very impressed with the variety and amount of statuary, artwork, furniture, etc., that was on display... not to mention pottery, glassware, tiffany stained glass, we did go through the exhibits of early European and Mediterranean statuary and art.....we were quite pleased with what we were able to see, and are looking forward to our next visit....be sure to visit the first floor café for a light lunch (a little pricey, but not too bad)....
