If you care about great art, the Met is not to be missed. Impressionist art is our favorite, and the collection is stunning, but there's plenty more to see as well. Leave plenty of time.

Entrance fee is steep if you're not used to prices for major U.S. museums, but tickets are good for 3 days.

The MET is an incredible museum and is worthy of your time. The line to enter can be long so pack an umbrella or sunscreen depending on the weather!

Inside you receive a free map which you can use to nagivate the huge exhibit areas from ancient Rome, Egypt, Asia, American history and loads more. You could spend at least 2 days here but if you are short on time I recommend going directly to the exhibits that interest you and leave others for another time.

Pack water and snacks as the restaurants are very overpriced! Enjoy :)

What a treasure! Visited with my APart history class (all 5). There is soooo much here. I do think a better map/guide could be developed. We found a lot of art and artists by accident. But, that was fun, too. Loved all parts of this museum!! It’s great for all ages. Love the free guided tours they offer as well. Definitely worth while.

the place closes at 5:15 so i recommend going earlier in the day. we were rushed out since we went at around 3:30. also the cafe and restaurant closes at 4:30 so that was disappointing, but the art is beautiful.
