Reviewed 26 July 2014 via mobile

I found this restaurant on Tripadvisor by looking for nearby restaurants. Four of us had dinner, drinks and deserts . The staff and the food were excellent. The place is very well decorated and has an excellent atmosphere.

“Great fresh Italian Restaurant”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

When: I went here for a business lunch on a Wed.

Location: Very easy to get to as it is only a couple of blocks from Grand Central.

Atmosphere: Small but quant. There is a lower level and upper level and a small bar area.

Service: I had a 12pm reservation (they open at 12pm). I got there at 11am and had an hour to kill. They let me in the restaurant and set up my computer and allowed me to work for the hour. Great service - everyone was very nice.

Food: I had the rigatoni and bolongse meat sauce. Good, fresh pasta and the sauce was excellent.

Price - They have a very reasonable 3 course lunch special for a very good price.

Overall: I will be back. It was very enjoyable and the service was great.

“Good italian food and service”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

This restaurant was close to our hotel and they called ahead to tell them we were coming. We were greeted at the door by name and taken to a table immediately. We came close to their closing time but they did not rush us. Food was very tasty and service was good.

“Ideal Spot For A Quiet Dinner”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

I really enjoyed the seafood salad and Caesar salad. Delicious Bolognese. The service could be improved upon a bit.

“Fabulous food and service!”
Reviewed 20 May 2014

This was the best Italian food we have had in a long time! We started the evening with a martini that was shaken cold, served promptly and in a nice sized glass, and the complimentary little skewers with a grape tomato, soft mozzarella ball & olive served on greens with balsamic & EEOV went well with it. The warm, crusty Italian bread is served with hummus & olive oil. We LOVED the Caprese salad, the penne with mushrooms and pieces of slow braised short rib (which they split for us to share) and the Osso Buco served with gnocchi!!! The maître d recommended the Italian Merlot and it was perfect. The portions are generous, the food served hot and delicious, and the service was excellent. We told our server we wanted a slow relaxing evening and that's what we had. Everyone there is very nice. As an aside, they recently changed their name to Picolo Fiore.
