The atmosphere at Paris Sandwich is fairly standard for Chinatown. The food on the other hand is out of this world. Truly authentic Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwich) that Left this food purist wanting more! They bake their bread fresh on the hour, and you can see the massive high-tech baking contraption in the rear of the prepping area. I highly recommend the "chicken" flavored vegetarian Banh Mi (#4). Mmm...Mmm...!

I went here with my friend on July 17, 2010. After reading some good reviews of this place, we were thoroughly disappointed.

Food: banh mi's are Vietnamese subs. So, we ordered the classic banh mi (cold cuts) and the grilled chicken one. The bread was decent - it was baked on the day of, so it was still relatively fresh and it depends on how you like the bread in banh mi. This one is relatively crusty, and not as much soft white bread.

The banh mi's were overall - "normal". It wasn't delicious, it wasn't anything to rave about. The biggest things that would have improved the quality was the fact that the pickled carrots and radishes were not pickled enough, so it did not give the banh mi's enough flavour. As well, the cilantro/coriander, if more strategically placed, would have been given it a much fresher taste, but there was not enough placed in the banh mi. Overall, - meh. We also got the Vietnamese iced coffee and it's good - very intense flavour.

However, remember that Paris Sandwich is owned by Chinese people, not Vietnamese, so take your risk.

Good vietnamese banh mi. They make their bread frequently so it is always fresh, very crusty.
