Where to begin with the Chelsea savoy hotel! When we arrived for our ten night stay in the hotel we couldn't believe our location for the price we paid! Located in the heart of Chelsea it was a most safe and appealing area! It's within walking distance if grand central station and Times Square! If your not in the mood for walking the subway was literally outside the door!! The rooms were a lovely size with a good size bed! Rooms were cleaned to the thoroughly each day with a good supply of towels provided!! If your in NYC I would highly recommend the Chelsea savoy due to the above comments! You won't be disappointed! It will leave you plenty of $'s in your pocket to enjoy the plentiful sights and sounds that NYC has to offer!!

Stayed here for ten nights in mid april! I could not fault the chelsea savoy in any way! We just couldn't believe the location we got for he price we paid! Chelsea is a really clean and safe area! Grand central and times square were within walking distance and if u wernt in the mood for walking the subway couldn't be any nearer...it was beside the hotel door! The hotel itself was lovely with large comfortable beds and virtually no noise! Id recommend anyone to try the chelsea savoy if staying in the city! You would be a fool to pass it by!!! I cant wait to return!

I ended up having to switch to this hotel do to a mix up at a different hotel, so I didn't know what it was going to be like. Small-ish rooms although that seems common in a lot of big cities like this. Nice, clean rooms with wifi. It is right in the middle of the action of Chelsea so b4 prepared to hear horns and sirens(although it dies down street midnight). We got lucky and were able to see the empire state building from our room.

We were thrilled with this hotel. Let's be frank: it's not fancy, but boy, for the price, it's got it all. Big rooms (for NYC), loads of hot water with bath/shower, continental breakfast, nice bathroom amenities, 6-stories unlike some of the monster hotels in the city, friendly reception and housekeeping, spotless, lots of drawers and hangers, and a great location. If the furniture didn't look a bit '80s (think Cheers when you see the breakfast room), it would be a boutique hotel given its scale.

I had looked high and low for fair-priced accommodation for our family of 4 over Easter weekend. Good luck with that... Either I had to pay more than $400 in the city or stay far away from Manhattan. I was turned down by numerous Airbnb units. The Chelsea Savoy saved the day. We had two double beds in our room, and plenty of space for suitcases, and we paid $265/night through Travelocity.

We love to walk so it was no problem to walk along the grand avenues from Central Station (about 30 min.) to the hotel with our suitcases. One afternoon, we walked to the Lower Eastside. Another day, we headed through Greenwich Village to the Ground Zero Memorial and to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, and Wall St. Another day we walked to Time Square and Central Park. The High Line is a few blocks away. I think you get the idea that this hotel is well located for those outings. There are plenty of little inexpensive eateries, a Whole Foods and another grocery a block away, and a market place called Eataly.

I was worried that it would be noisy at night. It was not. Maybe that was an Easter surprise.

We needed bath towels and they brought them within minutes, and it was no hassle.

There is no coffee maker in the room; there's a microwave in the breakfast room, and plenty of coffee shops all around. Breakfast consisted of: coffee, tea, hot chocolate and bagels, with mini containers cream cheese or jam.. On Easter Sunday there were also hot cross buns. Many guests supplemented their breakfast with juice and yogurts and other items from the nearby grocery.

This place works, and it's pleasant. If you don't need swanky, you'll be very happy.

Needed a hotel near part time office . Price was right and room met our expectations. Pleasant reception, plenty of towels, nice hard mattress, quiet heater were all positives. Room faced busy street but noise was acceptable on fifth floor of six. Stayed because of previous Trip Advisor reviews and good price two weeks in advance via hotels.com. Thank you other reviewers.

Excellent value for your money, this neat little place is one of my family's favourite when in NYC.
Located right in the middle of everything, literally on a subway stop, it's convenient, clean and with great rates that can vary depending on time of the year and room position, but rarely with bad surprises.
Next door with the (in)famous Chelsea Hotel, it's the perfect starting point for business and pleasure trips in the City.
Highly recommended.
