My wife and I spent two nights in the Hotel Newton at the end of US trip. The good points - a) Very close to the subway b) The Manhattan diner next door, but one, was excellent for breakfast and dinner. c) The staff were helpful and friendly d) The cost for New York was bearable d) The room was clean. The less good points a) The room was very small (but for the price ......) Our room, which was ensuite, had a full size, under worktop, fridge and a microwave. These took up valuable room. b) The Wi-fi was not free and the reception in our room so poor that we had to connect in the lobby. c) There is only one slow lift and we were on the eighth floor. All in all OK for what we wanted but next time we'll stay out in New Jersey and bus or train back and forth each day.
