Stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday season. Rooms were large for NYC, clean and comfortable. Had to remind front desk twice about heater not working, but was fixed before bed time. The location is great. Walking distance to Radio City, TImes Square, Central Park. Only complaint is that the lobby lacked the normal amenities that may be of help, snack bar, free coffee.

We had 2 rooms for a family of five. Hotel accommodated us with a roll away bed for the room our children ( 12, 18, 20) stayed in.

Very nice bar off lobby with host that helps you find seats when it is busy.

We were also treated to a great view of the Macy's thanksgiving day parade from our window.

Hotel has perfect location. It's near the central park so it's perfect for children. Room's were clean, we ordered high chair and baby crib, so it was waiting for us when we came.
One thing which i didn't like were some people from front desk service, they weren't nice (specially one lady) and there was one funny guy (concierge) which told us that all tickets for statue of liberty are sold out (of course it wasn't true - good we checked it because we could miss it) . And traveling to JFK will take over 1 hour, we drive there 30 minutes ...

Thank you very much for staying with us recently and for sharing your feedback. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed our location and your stay with us, but also sad to hear that you felt that some of my staff you came in contact with were less than professional. Please accept my apologies for this.

We look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel in the near future.

I stayed at the Warwick during Thanksgiving and had a very nice experience. I found the staff very friendly and accommodating. For an older hotel I found the room just right in size and even the bathroom was fine. The bar Randolph's was nice but I found the costs were very high. With room rates being what they are, it would be nice if these extra costs could be reduced when being charged to the room. I plan on returning to the Warwick when my wife and I return to New York in a few months.

Do not, under any circumstances, pay for an upgraded room with a view. We were charged an additional $30 per night for a view of a brick wall and a parking lot. Front desk people were less than caring and not at all helpful. (They behaved as if this is exactly what they do with every guest.) We also were not informed at check-in that we were receiving the "enhancement" or we would have balked immediately upon seeing the "view".

In addition, the toilet was plugged. That was fixed but it wasn't cleaned after. We returned to a room that smelled.

Not a nice experience. There are hotels in the same area that actually provide service and deliver what you pay for. Skip this one

Room Tip: Find another hotel in the area. There are lots that are much better service and value.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write the review of your recent stay with us. I was very sorry to hear that we failed to meet your expectations, despite our central location. You did indeed receive an exterior room that currently overlooks a vacant plot of land, which is part of one of our main neighborhood attractions, the Museum of Modern Art. A special exhibit recently closed and the lot is currently being prepared for another and new exhibit.

Please accept my apologies for the fact that our Housekeeping staff failed to clean up your bathroom after the engineer fixed your toilet. We dropped the ball on internal communications in your case and I am sorry about the inconvenience this caused.

Should you decide to change your mind and do wish to return to the Warwick New York Hotel, please do not hesitate to contact me directly so that I can personally handle your arrangements.

This is another one of New York Cities very nice hotels. It has a nice lobby, good bar, that is over priced as are most bars in NYC. The rooms were nice, but as is the case with most older hotels, which this certainly is, the bathrooms are very very small. The best places to stay these days in NYC is comparing the prevailing prices. Prices here are like all the others, they are like a yoyo, sometimes lower priced, sometimes overpriced due to higher capicities of bookings. My recommendation, if the price is better than similar places, book it and enjoy your stay. If the price is higher than other similar places, then book an alternative. This is a very nice establishment.

I rated this as average for the price it usually charges in relation to similar properties in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a larger bathroom is there is one!!! And, always try to get the best street vie...

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on your recent visit to our hotel. We were happy to read that you enjoyed your stay with us despite the size of the bathroom in your room. As you correctly stated, bathrooms were not the focus area they are today when our hotel was built in 1926. Nonetheless, we hope to see you again the next time your travels bring you to New York.

Good value hotel. Comfortable, very, really very well located in the corner of 6th avenue with 54th street, with a subway station just a block away. The rooms were clean, warm and comfortable. Fast elevators that almost give you no waiting time to go up and down. The staff was very polite and generous. We arrived early in the morning and they gently offered us an early check in without any extra charge! The only negative point was the bathroom, wich we found to tight and small, however clean and with a good shower. The problem was the sink/hands lavatory, too small and narrow, wich made things quite dificult when washing hands and brushing teeth. That frequently gave us a wet floor.
Besides that, everything was great and i really recommend staying at warwick new york hotel and will probably be there again in a near future.

Thank you very much for staying with us, for writing about your stay and for recommending us as a great hotel in New York. We appreciated your comments and are very happy that you enjoyed your stay with us despite the smallish bathroom you had. When our hotel was built in 1926 bathrooms did not receive the same type of attention they receive in hotels that are being built today. We look forward to having you stay with us again in the future.
