“Great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2014

We had a king bed on the 19th floor with a view looking at the Empire State Building. Lovely staff, breakfast just ok and elevator can be slow, but great value, nice clean rooms and very close to the 3 subways stations. Very good when getting around NYC. I enjoyed staying there and would stay again.

Room Tip: The higher up the better the views, but the elevator can be slow, but who cares when you are on holi...

The Hampton Inn on 35th is very central to upper Manhattan and within walking distance of so many attractions. Quiet location with excellent staff. Return client due to service, quality and location. Complimentary internet and breakfast makes for good trip. Concierge is always helpful to direct to right locations and tickets!

As a family of four with 2 teenagers we found this hotel ideal.

The plus side of this hotel is the location. Our room had amazing views of the empire state building. The hotel is so close to Macys, Times Square and the subway station proximity makes getting to Central Park and downtown so easy.

We had read that the rooms were small but we found that is was just right for us. Enough wardrobe and drawer space for 3 women in New York for a week!!!! They were very clean too. The staff were friendly and very accomodating.
The breakfast is a welome start to the morning but don't get too excited. My husband loves his food and wasn't that impressed although there was nothing at all wrong with it. The girls loved the waffle machine!!

If you are planning to stay here we would recommend it as an ideal base for exploring NYC without paying the expensive city prices.

This is the second time we have stayed in a Hampton Inn in New York & would highly recommend them for a stay in this city. Locations always good, excellent value (breakfast included), rooms clean but basic (only need place to sleep as so much to do in this wonderful city) & staff very helpful.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of hotel may be a bit too noisy for some people. We didm"t find it a problem...

I happened to end up in the city earlier than I anticipated for the polo classic and had no where to go. Then an angel in the person of Clayton; the night manager thanked me for visiting their property. I travel a lot and I think every brand's strongest point of contact is their front desk. This gentleman was extremely engaging, very knowledgeable and overall very professional. He did his best to help make my stay the best in a while. He is a great representation of the property and most times reviews focus on the building, the location, the food etc but its the people who are in these categories that make it worthwhile. Thanks again, Clayton.

Best location ever in NYC, close to several lines of the subway and good even when you come to the city by Airtrain (JFK) - only 2 blocks to the hotel! Small room (2 queen beds) and a small closet. Good bathroom but not a great shower. In general, everything was pretty clean and although it is not a new building, everything was well maintained.

Stayed at this hotel . The room was not ready as we arrived around 1 pm. They put our luggage in a holding area, and were we told to check back around 3 pm. All of our information was taken , and when we arrived back at 3 pm, evrything was ready to go. The room was clean, but as with NY it was small. But you are not in your room very long anyway. The hotel was very close to Macys, and the Garment District. Breakfast was purchased with the room, which was a great deal as breakfast was a buffet, that worked out great. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the upper floors.
