we booked around 10 months in advance and have paid in full. We arrived in New York 7pm on Saturday 5th. I received an emai that said I will meet you at location at 9pm and we are not to go to reception and wait outside. I thought what,s going on here. 9pm came and went at 9-15 I rang them and was told the unit is not available and after a heated conversation they offered us another unit in an area we did not want to be and it only had one bathroom. I asked if they would pick us up in a taxi and take us to have a look. They refused so we caught our one taxi at our expense and we to property. It was an old building in an area we did not want and once again no one was waiting for us, we then asked taxi driver to take us back to original location. I went into building and spoked to receptionist and asked if there was any vacancy and he said no we are apartments and don't do short term stays.
by this time it is 10pm onSaturday night in New York with three tired people with suit cases wondering if we can get any sort of accommodation for the night. There were no vacancies at several places we tried and finally at 12pm we got into a nice hotel with only one bedroom and one bathroom. We are able to stay the 10 nights. To say our trip was ruined is an understatement. When we return home I will ask the bank to reverse the payments unless you reimburse us before hand. What you should also do is consider some form of compensation for what we have gone through. Peter Bulte
