I spent the summer living in Manhattan and I went to Grounded almost every day. The coffeehouse has an awesome skylight, tons of plants, big comfy couches, lots of tables, and bookcases full of books. The place is always full of people reading, doing homework, or just hanging out and it reminded me a lot of Central Perk from Friends. Their iced coffee and drip coffee are excellent (and are priced reasonably, as well). Make sure to try one of their blondie bars, they are heavenly!

Stopped off for breakfast in this quaint charming coffee shop. There is a wide selection of teas and coffees as well as food. I selected the steel cut oatmeal with fresh fruit and yogurt and it was delicious and filling. The coffee was flavoursome, but I would have preferred it a little stronger. Prices as slightly higher than other similar places in the area, but you are paying for quality. There is a great sitting area at the back of the cafe with a wide selection of books. A perfect place to chill out after a long day sightseeing and shopping.

I recently enjoyed a couple of mornings working here with friends. It's a friendly place with an ideal combination of delicious refreshments and a mellow working atmosphere. The selection of teas is remarkable - I particularly enjoyed the honey vanilla rooibos latte. The sandwiches are tasty too, though I wish there were a few more non-veggie options. The tables fill up and it can be hard to find a seat sometimes (though people are nice about sharing) and some of the wall plugs don't work so you may need to hunt a bit for one which actually supplies power for your laptop, but once you find one they are quite generous about letting you stay (despite the posted hour and a half time limit).

I just made my first visit to Grounded. It will definitely not be my last.

This is a lovely, warm, and inviting cafe that offers coffees and teas as well as food ranging from bagels and breakfast sandwiches to several salad and sandwich selections. I can understand why the locals frequent this homey cafe. The coffee was delicious, and so enjoyable. Prices are good, especially considering the quality of the food.

People who frequent Grounded know the ropes: order at the counter, sit down and wait for someone to call out your order for pick up. Bring your dirty dishes to the dirty dish bucket when you are done.

If you are wandering through the Village and looking for a great place for breakfast, lunch, or a coffee break, head right over to Grounded.
