We had another great trip to NYC and our stay at the Standard was exceptional. Paul Cashman once again took great care of us and his hospitality is second to none. Our bellman, Wieser greeted us and made us feel welcome as a returning guest. Our room was on the 11th floor and it was exceptional. The service and food in the grill was excellent.

Room Tip: We would recommend a room on the 10th, 11th or 12th floors as there are clubs on the top of the hote...

We had a girls brunch here on a Saturday morning and we were not disappointed. We had a warm greeting and seated immediately. It is a great location and it's a great spot to people watch. The price was fair by new york standards and you have to try the breakfast potatoes.......delicious. Don't remember the name of our server but they all seemed attentive. Would highly recommend. Also, if you get a chance check out the high line, wish I had time to.

The Standard Highline is a fun and funky hotel located in Chelsea and built right up over the Highline park. The hotel is very nicely designed. The rooms are fairly small, but well laid out. The bathrooms are an open European concept with shutters between the bathroom and the main part of the room and feature a large soaker tub. I recommend filling up your tub at night, turning off the lights, opening the shutters and enjoying the fabulous view of the city at night. The bed was super comfortable and I loved the toiletries ( Kiss my Face products). The service was cheerful and friendly. We got some great recommendations from the front desk staff as to the best way to see the Statue of Liberty- loved the Clipper City Sailboat tour! I was also surprised at how quiet the rooms were. A bit of background noise filtering up from the beer garden next door, but I guess this is why they thoughtfully provided earplugs. Had great sleeps overall. Two thumbs up to The Standard. I enjoyed my stay.

I have just gotten home from a week long stay at the standard - please do yourself a favour and skip staying here. The staff will treat you like second class citizens, they will lie to your face regarding what rooms are available and how the night club policy works, you will be able to hear everything people in the next room are doing. Everything. And for 400+ dollars a night you will be offered a shower with hostel-like surroundings and no door. And while the views from the nightclub are great, please don't order the bar menu. For 10 dollars you will get one square inch of wagyu on a stick. Style over substance is predominant here.

This is a great club and a cocktail bar for warm nights to go in NYC but this is the only good reason to stay in the hotel, you get free excess until 9.30 pm , you have a nice gym and the location at the meet packing is ok, the noise at weekends will not bother you if you go to sleep at 3am.
The service is bad, and the rooms are old, no swimming pool or design , shampoo is bad.

Room Tip: Corner 7-9 floor , all are loud

The hotel is very trendy and the location could not be better. The view from the room was fantastic and the restaurants and bars at the hotel outstanding. We used recommendations from the concierge for breakfast and lunch restaurants in the neighborhood and was amazed with their great knowledge and perfect recommendation to local treasures we would never have found on our own. So listen to their advices, they know their city! The rooms are nice, but small a little dark. It also look a little old and outdated. The staff at the grill and one of the outside bars (not the rooftop) are filled with staff that seems unexperienced and without the ability to manage the logistic. They would benefit enormously with training and improvement in service as they drag down the impression of the hotel quite a lot. With that said, the drinks are very good and the food at the grill are very good. The rooftop bar is fantastic and the waitresses certainly know how to make you feel welcome. The evening we visited the rooftop they had a live jazz band playing which gave the place a "Great Gatsby" feel to it. Over all, a very nice hotel and despite some flaws that drag down the impression I choose not to rob it from a star as the hotel is fresh and fun and I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Add a few extra dollar and get a better room. Goes without saying, get a room as high up as possible...

Started with rooftop drinks and nibbles, overlooking the River. Manhattan was all lit up and the view was amazing. On to dinner at the Grill. Great Cocktails, great food, buzzing atmosphere and great company, what more can you ask for. Was not staying at the Hotel so can't comment on accommodation. Will definitely return on next trip.
