After the luck I have been having with hotels lately I am really excited and happy to report I found a good hotel at a great price. I took some friends to New York city for a one night stay. We wanted to stay near Times Square, but be out of the main hustle of those crazy lights.
I booked this on Hotels.com, and I got a pretty good price for it. So, I was expecting a small dark room facing a brick wall for the price, but what I got was a decent sized room, with a stunning view of the Empire State Building. It faced a not so busy street, so it was quiet and it was easy to sleep.
The concierge was very helpful. The Front desk went out of their way to help us when one of the travelers in our group was arriving late. They even let us check in two hours early!
The room was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was quite lovely, the bedding was beautiful, and there was a nice big TV, that none of us watched. What was really nice is they had a fridge and microwave in the room instead of one of those sneaky honor bars.
The bed had adjustable settings, which I am sure is a great feature, but I couldn’t for the life of me figure it out. But I like a softer bed so I just durned the dial all the way down and it was very comfy – though I am sure a doctor would tell you it is bad for my back.
