The Milburn was a great place to stay both times we visited New York City. The staff are friendly and helpful. They serve breakfast and its location is near a good selection of shops, the subway {train}, & restraunts. Since finding a good priced , two room hotel is hard in NYC, this was a incredibly good value. You get two rooms for a solid price. Overall, the Milburn wasn't a palace, but a good choice for a loyal and comfortable hotel.

We LOVED this hotel! Just came back. We stayed from April 25-, MAy 4. Great location: close to subway, shopping, parks, grocery stores, good restaurants. Service was excellent, all personel very friendly, also to our kids. The suite was perfect for us. Pre-war building, carpet. Only downside was clogged toilet, but got fixed right away. Every day breakfast nice. Great value in NYC!

Usually, our trips to NYC take us to the East Side, where we stay at our favorite small hotel, the Affinia Gardens.

This time we opted for proximity to the American Museum of Natural History, so we decided to give the Millburn a try. We were not disappointed. The room, a standard with two double beds, was a tad smaller than what we were accustomed to at the A/G., but it was well appointed. The rooms and common areas were spotless.

Although we often have trouble sleeping on hotel beds, these doubles were a joy and provided blissful and much needed sleep.

The staff was helpful and genuinely friendly--just like the folks at the Affinia Gardens!

Can you tell that we admire both of these small hotels???!?!??

What a surprise! The location is great - close to the subway, Zabar's, buses and shops of kinds. We had a suite so we ate breakfast there. We also had an array of snacks. The hotel looks a bit tired but the staff was delightful and everything worked.
It was so convenient we could come back, have a nap and go out again.

Room Tip: The south facing rooms have lovely afternoon light. Try Land Thai Kitchen on Amsterdam - really goo...

My first visit to the Milburn was a winner. I arrived early on the redeye from California and they kindly got me into my room by 11am. The accommodations were spacious and the staff lovely. The location cannot be beat, within walking distance to everything you need in way of services and transportation. I hope that I will never have to look for another place to stay in Manhattan!

The purpose of our stay was to enjoy a few weekend shows at the Beacon Theatre. The hotel is located less than 2 blocks from the venue. It is close to multiple subway stations and other nearby attractions. For the price and location, this is the best option in the area. Then again, it helps when you are dividing the rate with 2 other people. The staff was very friendly and the hotel itself noticeably clean. We chose a suite that had two rooms, two double beds and a sofa with a pull out mattress. For a hotel in uptown NYC, we were impressed with the amount of space and comfort. There are so many options in this area and we would not hesitate to book here again!

The Milburn Hotel is wonderfully located around the corner from the upscale Fairview Market and four short blocks along Broadway from the 72nd subway station (1 express stop from the 42nd St hub at Times Square). All the rooms we have stayed in had either a kitchenette or a full kitchen--which makes the Fairview Market a great place to pickup prepared meals or cooking ingredients when we decide not to eat out. The included breakfast on the main floor is satisfactory. WiFi is included, though not strong in all rooms (and wired computers are available to guests in the lobby, right near the comfortable lounge).

Room Tip: If either of these things matter to you, ask if it has a kitchen or just a kitchenette and how close...
