“Fantastic location - can't go wrong booking here!”
Reviewed 5 August 2014 via mobile

My fiancé and I stayed here for 4 nights recently and were extremely impressed with this hotel! It is in a great location right near Grand Central station and is very clean with lovely staff and frequent maid services. We stayed in one of the rooms with a shared bathroom and I was initially apprehensive about this but quickly found out there was no need to be. We never had to wait for the bathroom and they were just down the corridor and very clean. I could not say anything negative about this hotel and for the money I think it is a bargain, would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay comfortably in New York without being ripped off. We will use this hotel again if we return to New York wouldn't think about staying anywhere else!

We stayed here for 4 nights. Experienced both shared toilet facilities and private en suite. Excellent guest service, attentive and efficient from check in to check out. Not to mention the Housekeeping team! As a kiwi living in Australia working in hospitality, the Aussies could learn a thing or two. I mistakenly unknowingly booked a room with shared toilet facilities, after realising before arrival we thought we would stick with it although from past experience the general expectation wasn't of a positive one in terms of cleanliness. Upon arrival we were in awe of the rooms character, although small (which was expected), boutique luxury with a welcoming calmness in such a busy city. Pleasantly surprised by the shared facilities which were modern, consistently clean and amenities never lacking in quantity nor quality. We ended upgrading for a bit more privacy and again a great room - loved the artwork. Close proximity to Grand Central! All in all a little gem - thank you.

My wife and I stayed here in mid July 2014 for 5 nights. We selected the hotel from previous Trip Advisor reviews, location and price and we were not disappointed in any way. The rooms are small, as you would expect in any City location. The housekeeping cannot be faulted. The staff are both friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. There is unlimited tea and coffee available on the ground floor and a small lounge with TV next to reception if you want to sit and relax and plan your next adventure. We visited the wine store round the corner and enjoyed a glass of wine here late evening whilst planning our next day. Conveniently located to most important attractions and everything within reach. No hesitation in recommending this hotel. Thanks for helping to make our 40th Anniversary celebrations a great success!

I stayed at Seton Hotel for two nights in July 2014. The hotel is centrally located within a 3 minute walk from the airport express buses, and 5 minutes from Grand Central Station.
The staff was kind and helpful, and the whole hotel has a high standard for that price. Room is not large, but has the basics including toiletries in my own room (saw some reviews about shared bathrooms, but mine (#203) had its own. Free wifi is also a nice touch (apparently this is not standard in all NYC hotels yet). In addition there are available computers and iPads in the lobby.
Only negative point with the room is that the air condition in my room was quite loud - but at least it was effective.
Inside tip: go to Bagel Express just around the corner for breakfast - very good!

It was our fist trip to New York my girlfriend and me. We chose the Seton Hotel due to its high ratings on tripadvisor despite its budget-friendly prices. We were more than pleased. The hotel is a few blocks away from Grand Central, were all the subway and train lines stop, so you an basically go to anywhere from there. The room was charming and clean. The personnal at the front desk were great and friendly. You can't go wrong with this hotel, will definetely go back on our next trip !

This hotel is a charming place in a very convenient location. Everything is within an easy walking distance. Grand Central Terminal is around the corner. The shared bathroom was not a problem at all. I was a little skeptical but we never had to wait. We did take out showers at night so we wouldn't have to wait in the mornings. The whole hotel is very clean and quiet. The whole staff was very friendly, especially Emmanuel. He was very helpful and always smiling! There is nice little 24 hour diner around the corner. If you are looking for an inexpensive, clean and convenient hotel, this is your place. We will definitely be back.

Have just spent three nights at the seton, really enjoyed our stay, really good location, helpful friendly staff, very clean rooms, it was refreshing to stay at a hotel that doesn't look like all the others in terms of decor. We stayed in a two bed room, it was very clean, decent size for NY nicely decorated and comfortable (really good pillows). No noise problems at all. Downstairs coffee and tea facility was handy, coffee good. A good stay, would recommend
