My family rented two 3BR units in this hotel for a family reunion. The rooms were very large and perfect for our gathering. The views of the east river, the surrounding buildings, and into midtown were stunning. The staff responded quickly and granted every request. We had only two relatively minor complaints: the elevators were very slow for a building so large and the hallways were dark and sometimes dirty.

We are fast becoming the Hotel of choice for family reunions, which pleases us to no end. It is not hard to believe, as we are able to offer our enormous 3 bedroom with 3 full bathroom Suites at a value few hotels can contend with. Thank you for sharing your reunion here with us at the Marmara Manhattan and we will shine brightly not only through our “excellent service”, but on the floor foyers as well, for all your future gatherings.

This was the best North American Hotel experience I've ever had! My friend and I were in New York for the first time ever and found this hotel quite by accident. It was perfect! The one bedroom apartment was airy and spacious and equipped with everything one or two would need, including two full bathrooms! The bed was extremely comfortable and the rooms very clean.
Location was great and easy to get to the train or bus. We tended to head to other neighbourhoods for meals but I do wish we had explored more of the neighbourhood as there are some really cute diners and cafes just steps away.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Dennis was fantastic at helping us figure out how to get places and had some great tips.
I can't say enough about this hotel and will definitely recommend it to my friends and make sure that I stay there next time I'm in New York!

Room Tip: I'd say ask for a room on a higher floor because the views were incredible. Fun to wake up to in...

It will be difficult to remain humble as you awarded us “Best North American Hotel ”, but as you “can’t say enough about this hotel”, and are recommending us so highly to friends, the “incredibly friendly and helpful” staff will remain dutiful and live up to your acclaim. When their reviews come in we anticipate similar watchwords as “extremely comfortable”, “very clean” and “perfect” and will strive to make you proud, however we are enthusiastic to see you again, since you promised you“ will stay next time”.

We stayed a week in New York with two young children, and so were looking for something with cooking facilities, affordable, good location and modern. We were not disappointed with the Marmara Manhattan!

Being such an expensive city to visit (accommodation wise), we were so happy with the value that we received for our apartment at this hotel. We stayed in a standard one bedroom apartment (there are three different sizes and we chose the small one) and it met our needs perfectly. I had read the reviews on the sofabed and they were pretty accurate about it not being the most comfortable bed to sleep on, so we put our two young children (being very light) in there while hubby and I had the main bedroom. Everyone slept well, all happy. We had a gorgeous view overlooking the city and could see the Empire State Building, which was a highlight seeing the different colours on the top each night.

There is so much storage space in this apartment, you could easily live here. There is a desk area in the lounge and a dining table with four chairs, again, plenty of room. The kitchen was a full size, including oven, fridge, dishwasher etc. and good cooking utensils and choice. We cooked half the time and were very happy with the facilities.

There's a gym in the basement which is great, has everything you need, and also a laundry with four washers and four dryers.

The rooms are very modern, so is the reception, staff are very friendly. Yes there are some roadworks from the new subway out the front, but it was no bother whatsoever, and it was always quiet. Taxi's were still readily available, there was no noise at all (we were on the 17th floor) and it really didn't disrupt anything at all.

Also, for all those people that complained about walking uphill to the subway - come on, it was nothing. It was two blocks up and one across (I think for memory), but it was easy peasy, and we were pushing a double stroller everyday. Oh, there's an across town bus too which is one block down which is an excellent way to get to the upper Westside crossing through Central Park, just brilliant. Buses are included in your subway/metro ticket too.

There are two supermarkets nearby, one is a block to the left and one is a block to the right (on the crossroad to the hotel). Both stocked plenty of cooking choices, so we were very happy as we liked to cook half the time for our children.

There are lots of restaurants nearby and the options are endless - it is New York afterall so you won't be disappointed.

Loved this property, would absolutely stay again and highly recommend, particularly to those with families and those who are wanting to cook or those that just want to have twice to three times the amount of space you'd find in a standard hotel room. A few Aussies staying here too which was nice.

Attention: according the Aussies it’s “easy peasy”…. and after this brilliant journal nothing further needs to be said. We cannot thank you enough for this fantastic response and personalized guide for all to see. We will cherish these fine words to live by “it is New York after all so you won't be disappointed”.

This place really is a home from home. All the staff very helpful and can't do enough for you.
We were staying in a 1 bedroom apartment on the 29th floor. This did help with regard to noise from construction site. Nice big windows which give you great views over the city.
Apartment has everything you need to have a great stay. We really enjoyed the Marmara and would recommend it to all our friends. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!!

Room Tip: Request an upper floor due to noise from construction site.

So bright and new! One bedroom apartment with full kitchen and balcony! Lots of space, closets, pull out couch in living room. Everyone who works here is helpful and friendly! Lots of shops and restaurants in the area, a few blocks from subway.

Room Tip: The higher the better ... There is construction on a new subway line, but that hasn't disturbed...

The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and well serviced. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Just a few blocks walk from Central Park, and well-placed to explore the laid-back delights of the Upper East Side. We stayed on the 7th floor and weren't bothered at all by the building works nearby. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, and look forward to returning there some day.

This hotel is such an oasis! The rooms are spacious - bigger than my daughter's apartments and cleaner too, I might add. There are computers and printers in the lobby so that you can print out boarding passes. The hotel staff are very helpful. The location is a 3 minute walk from the subway on 96th and Lexington. Slightly further, in the same direction, is museum mile and Central Park. A short walk in the opposite direction is the East River which is a great place to walk/run.

Room Tip: Make your reservation as far in advance as possible to get the best rate.

“An Oasis in the midst of Manhattan”, wow.. that sounds like the title of a great book. We are so happy you were able to spend a chapter of your life enjoying the nearby Central Park, Museum Mile and the East River jogging path, just to mention a few close attractions. It’s is great your daughter is our neighbor, now you will be able to enjoy that proverbial book in one of our “spacious” apartments regularly.
