All the positive reviews say it all! Friendly staff, great breakfasts, good room. The location is perfect with the subway/tube being only 30 seconds down the street. 15 minutes walk puts you in the heart of Times Square and the city. The staff were all very friendly and approachable and even went out of their way to explain sites on local maps. We were in New York to celebrate our anniversary and were quite surprised to be greeted one night by a great bunch of flowers from the staff. Breakfast was never a disappointment with freshly baked cornbread and other pastries being available. Our room was on the ground floor so we did get a bit of street noise (nothing unexpected) but there was an electronic sleep aid which we turned on and hummed away to drown out any noise so it was never a problem. The room was spacious, clean and fresh. Aircon and a personal safe were also provided. Next time we're in NYC, this will be the place to be!

Room Tip: Being on lower/ground floor avoids any stairs. Go for the Superior Deluxe 2 if you want loads of space!

Thanks to the many positive reviews, I took a chance on this hotel. My husband and I loved it! The location is perfect, right near the Chelsea Market, the High Line, Meatpacking district....and the subway just down the block. The staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. We were very lucky to be in the room with the latest updated bathroom, which was beautiful. As a native New Yorker who moved to Europe many years ago, I felt at home in this hotel. We're definitely coming back again and again!

Room Tip: Rooms in the back are quieter. There's no elevator, so make sure to tell them if you need a room on the first floor.

Great location. Warm, friendly staff. Comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. 'Nuff said.

Room Tip: Not a bad room to be had, but ask the staff for advice.

There is a reason this hotel is so popular. . .it excels in every way! It is quiet, charming, and meticulously clean. Super location with the subway just down the block. We tried several of the recommended neighborhood eateries and were pleased. We especially liked the Chelsea Market a block or so away. The hotel's complimentary breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and we loved the daily newsletter which gave great tips on things going on in the city that day (real insider tips!). Best of all are Jay and his staff who made us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay in New York.

I was looking for a place to stay with my daughter on a 18th birthday treat to New York city. The Chelsea Pines Inn offered great value with a two bed suite being offered at the same price as a International bog standard hotel twin room....and continental breakfast is included! It all just got better when we arrived. Jay, one of the owners was incredibly helpful and informative with lists of places to eat and things to see locally other than the standard tourist sights. The rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was very clean and brightly decorated with big vintage movie posters and pictures.
The hotel is in a good location between mid-town and down-town, with subway on the corner of the block. We actually used the busses so we could have a good look around the city while getting around.
I would highly recommend the Chelsea Pines Inn to any one heading to New York!!!
