Perfect location 1/2 block from the subway. Great neighborhood. Fun decorated rooms with movie themes. Very roomy and super quiet. I couldn't hear any traffic noise! Lovely breakfast area with sun porch attachment area. Amazingly friendly staff! They will drop whatever they are doing to talk to you and give you advice. They will even book restaurants, recommend shows, and suggest best things to do for you. This was our first stay at this B&B and as far as we are concerned, it will be the only place that we will stay on future NYC trips. Keep in mind that there are no elevators that I am aware of, so if you need elevator access, be sure and mention this to see if this is an OK building for you.

Room Tip: Ask what floor your room will be on and let the staff know if you have stairs problems.

My traveling companion and I shared a one BR suite. Roomy, clean and full of homey amenities. Hotel staff could have not been nicer nore more helpful. High quality European breakfast included. Just a block from Chelsea Market and steps to the subway.

Room Tip: No room noise on street-facing side.

Really excellent hotel in a great location. Good sized, quiet room, excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. What more could you want. Well there was the expresso available at all times for a start.

There cannot be a better place to stay in NY.

This is a really great place that I just stumbled on when looking for a place to stay near the Chelsea Market. The service is friendly. The accommodations are cozy and quirky. The breakfast is fantastic. Stay in the cool Chelsea neighborhood and feel like you are at your friend's house. Close to the subway, High Line and tons of cool restaurants. Will definitely stay here again and again. I enjoyed having Charlie Chaplin the cat prowling around.

The staff was absolutely fantastic, the room was comfortable, decorated and stocked in an aesthetic and functional way, breakfast was above and beyond! It's so easy to go anywhere you want from here, neighborhoods are fantastic with dozens of amazing restaurants close by. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in NYC!!

Room Tip: There is no elevator, which we didn't mind at all, but consider when selecting a room.

Just brilliant. Stayed last week with a friend. We were on the top floor in an amazing room which would sleep three. Staff were fantastic, breakfast amazing and, Jay is a star. If you want to stay away from Times Square this is the place. It's homely and so easy to get anywhere from. I cried when I left. Cannot wait to go back.

Room Tip: If you have difficulty walking flights of stairs then ask for a lower room.

I found my new favorite place to stay in NYC. We stayed at the Chelsea Pines Inn for a week-long vacation and have nothing but good things to say about the Inn’s welcoming, helpful staff, our quiet, comfortable room, and its perfect location between Chelsea, the Meatpacking District, and Greenwich Village.
What set the Chelsea Pines Inn apart from other NYC hotels is that it felt comfortable and homey to us quickly after we arrived. The staff was very friendly and made sure to get to know us during our stay. They also made sure we were all set with restaurant ideas, subway directions, etc. I also loved the ground floor common area/kitchen that has great breakfast in the morning, and coffee, tea & snacks during the rest of the day. There’s also a backyard garden, which is a nice escape.
Location-wise, the Chelsea Pines Inn was central and convenient to everywhere we wanted to go in NYC. It is a short walk to the High Line, Greenwich Village, and Chelsea Market, and there is a subway stop a half block away to head to Central Park, Midtown, Tribeca, Brooklyn, etc. Also, I usually bring along my running shoes when on vacation and I appreciated the CP Inn’s proximity to the biking/running path along the Hudson River, making morning runs to Battery Park (~6 miles out and back) hassle-free in terms of dealing with car and foot traffic.
I highly recommend staying here the next time you visit NYC.
