“Something special”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2013

Beautifully scented and flavored meat. It's definitely worth a stop on your East 7th Street taste-trawl.

“Love their sandwiches”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2013

Tiny place, but delicious food. If you like pork with skin, this is the spot for you. Great sandwich and plates. The prices have gone up considerably, now a sandwich is $14. Used to be $9 when I first start going there. But they are still very good.

“Didn't live up to high expectations”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 July 2013

My partner heard great things about this place and as a pork-lover was anticipating something pretty special. Unfortunately, she was extremely unimpressed with the food - the pork was very salty and very dry, little crackling - and what crackling was there was not crunchy. The sides were really good though. We were there shortly before closing - maybe it was a bad time.

“Not a boricua pernil sandwich”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2013 via mobile

It is really good and crunchy. Also it is organic meat, but it wasnt season well, little bit dry and pricy for the amount of food. Boricua pernil sandwich comes with mayo, ketchup, swiss cheese, tomato, lettuce and potatoes sticks. Two sandiwch and one share potatos and burnt ends and we paid $34 in a place not sutiable to sit comfortable....

“Italian Streetmeat in NYC!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2013 via mobile

Spiced to perfection, high quality meats and locally sourced. Get the sandwich with any of their awesome sides. (I recommend the 'potatoes with burnt ends') Sprinkle the special salt on everything.

This is not a healthy meal but you will most likely be walking a lot in New York. So it balances out.

For two sandwiches and one side to share (easily done) it's about $30. They provide water at no additional cost.
